Collegiate Baseball continues to grow, and it is amazing to see! One of the biggest examples of the sport’s growth has been the NCAA Baseball gambling market. In this article, I’ll list my favorite College Baseball picks for May 16th, College Baseball betting odds on some of the top games, how to watch them, and what side to be on.

College Baseball Picks May 16th
All College Baseball Bets Are To Win 1 Unit
Vanderbilt (+124) at Kentucky (-160)
Vanderbilt: Bryce Cunningham JR RHP: 6-3, 4.33 ERA, 87 K, 27 BB, 70.2 IP, 2.87 SIERA
Kentucky: Trey Pooser Grad RHP: 3-1, 4.10 ERA, 57 K, 24 BB, 59.1 IP, 3.83 SIERA
The Vandy Boys are just 3-10 straight up in road games this season. They only have two total road wins in the SEC. Lastly, the Commodores have ZERO road wins against teams with winning SEC records.
Even worse for Vanderbilt, their starting pitcher, Cunningham, has TERRIBLE home/road splits. The Junior from Headland, Alabama, has a 9.00 ERA away from home and an 11.60 ERA in SEC road games. Once he (hopefully) gets rocked, the normally excellent Vanderbilt pitching staff has a below-average weekend bullpen ERA (6.37).
This season, the Wildcats are 20-6 at Kentucky Proud Park. Five-tool standout Ryan Waldschmidt is at the forefront of the UK offense. Waldschmidt was buried as a recruit out of Bradenton, Florida, but has shined with the Cats, batting .354, 1.097 OPS, 20 SB, 52 R, and 32 RBIs. With Kentucky’s .906 Team OPS and 117 wRC+, they should pounce on their prey early and often on Thursday.
A couple open-swings from Ryan Waldschmidt (LF, @UKBaseball). Went 10-for-18 w/ 3 doubles, 4 HR and 11 RBIs in four games last week vs Louisville/Tennessee. Riding a 10 game hitting streak, the last six of which have been multi-hit games. pic.twitter.com/DZbV5tiXXs

Utah (-105) at USC (-125)
Utah: Bryson Van Sickle SR LHP: 4-1, 2.80 ERA, 58 K, 18 BB, 80.1 IP, 4.02 SIERA
USC: Tyler Stromsborg SR RHP: 3-9, 6.04 ERA, 46 K, 15 BB, 56.2 IP, 3.93 SIERA
In case you are not in the know, USC can’t play “home” games on campus this year because they are revamping their stadium. This game will be played on UC Irvine’s field. The Trojans are 13-14 in their “home” games this season, and Utah is 14-10 on the road.
One large reason USC is losing overall is their poor offense. Southern Cal is struggling with the sticks, owning just a .756 Team OPS and 87 wRC+. Utah’s Senior southpaw Bryson Van Sickle should have his way against the Trojans’ lineup. Van Sickle doesn’t blow anybody away, but he is a pitch-to-contact arm. That should fare well, as USC lacks pop/power up and down the order. Utah should close as the favorite in this game.

-125 Moneyline Parlay: Mississippi State/Clemson
(-270) Mississippi State is facing Missouri on Thursday. Missouri is coming off a series loss in their last home weekend to SEC last-place Auburn. The Tigers overachieved expectations this year, but they may have waved the white flag for the season.
Mizzou is trotting out Kaden Jacobi to start this game at Dudy Noble Field, one of the best home atmospheres in college baseball. Jacobi only has 15 innings under his belt. He has allowed 21 hits and 12 earned runs.
The Bulldogs are countering with one of the SEC’s best, Khal Stephen. In his Senior season, the RHP has an excellent 7-3, 3.16 ERA, 85 K, 18 BB, 77 IP, and a 2.87 SIERA line. With the better bullpen and offense, Mississippi State is a strong leg for a Thursday parlay.
Fire us up Khal! 💪
Stephen ties his career high with his 11th K of the night!

(-315) Clemson was swept by Wake Forest last weekend. During his tenure at Clemson, Erik Bakich’s teams have only been swept three times in two years. The first sweep came during his 2nd weekend on the job against UCF. Later in the season, the Knights were caught “altering” bats, and their Head Coach, Greg Lovelady, was fired.
The second sweep came against the loaded 2023 Wake Forest team during the last weekend of March. After that sweep, Clemson finished the season 32-6. What will happen after getting swept by the Demon Deacons this time around? I’m guessing a huge bounce back.
A huge bounceback can begin against bottom-feeder Boston College, at home, at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, where Clemson is 26-6 this year. The Tigers will do it behind their strong offense (.904 Team OPS, 114wRC+) against a weak Eagles pitching staff (7.72 Weekend Bullpen ERA).
