2024 NFL Mock Draft – Sean Green Final Mock Draft
There was a lot of pressure coming into this year’s NFL Mock Draft as you recall I was the reigning NFL Mock Draft Champion last year. In both The Huddle Report and The Mock Draft Database scoring systems scored me as the most accurate mock drafter of 2023.
I’ve accomplished a lot in my storied career as a NFL prognosticator, but most accurate mock drafter was quite the feather in my cap. I also recently predicted correctly where John Harbaugh was parking his RV in Los Angeles.

Enough about me though let’s get into breaking down the 2024 NFL Draft! Crafting a mock draft involves a mix of research, analysis and good ol’ fashioned gut handicapping. I do think we’re in for some surprises and there are a number of NFL Draft props I’ve given out on the podcast. This mock draft I’m focused on matching the right player to the right team.
In addition I’m not going to project any trades for this NFL mock draft, as it gets too crazy. Ultimately people want to know what player their team is going to get in the NFL Draft and that’s what I focused on in this draft.
It’s clear the draft starts at the number two selection with the Washington Commanders and what they decide to do at QB. If they go off the board it could create a major ripple in the entire NFL Draft. Ultimately I kept it chalky with them selecting Jayden Daniels. I don’t believe ownership will risk alienating the DC fanbase with anything but the obvious choice.
Super excited about the NFL Draft as always and make sure to tune into our NFL Draft Watch Party! We will be watching the NFL Draft and reacting live to our NFL Draft bets.
# | Team | Pick | Pos | College |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Bears via CAR | Caleb Williams | QB | USC |
Caleb Williams is considered a generational talent at QB and a can't miss prospect. Unfortunately he's going to be drafted by the Bears who've never had a real QB so it will be interested to see how they mess this one up. | ||||
2 | Commanders | Jayden Daniels | QB | LSU |
New ownership and new head coach Commanders could do anything here. Ultimately though Josh Harris will want to appease the fans and Daniels pick here will do that. | ||||
3 | Patriots | Drake Maye | QB | UNC |
The Patriots have Jacoby Brissett in place until Drake Maye takes over. NE is definitely going QB and can't pass up Maye. | ||||
4 | Cardinals | Malik Nabers | WR | LSU |
Ultimately the Cardinals will trade down and end up taking the best WR available which for them will be Nabers. | ||||
5 | Chargers | Taliese Fuaga | OT | Oregon State |
The Chargers are a real wildcard here. I expect them to be interested in trading down and doing somethign to help Harbaugh's ultimate goal of ESTABLISHING THE RUN! | ||||
6 | Giants | Marvin Harrison Jr. | WR | Ohio State |
The Giants are paying Daniel Jones as if he's a franchise QB so why not conitnue the facade and get him a WR. | ||||
7 | Titans | Joe Alt | OT | Notre Dame |
Titans are all in on Will Levis and like mayo in coffee Joe Alt is a perfect match for this offense in need of OL protection. | ||||
8 | Falcons | Byron Murphy | DL | Texas |
Heat has been generating for Murphy to be the first defnsive player taken and the Falcons make a ton of sense. | ||||
9 | Bears | Rome Odunze | WR | Washington |
How do you sell the city of Chicago on a new stadium? Give them a sexy QB and WR combo to kickoff the new era in Chicago. | ||||
10 | Jets | Brock Bowers | TE | Georgia |
Aaron Rodgers has never throw a ton to a TE, but let's be honest Brock Bowers is no normal TE. He's a tiny guy who is way smaller than Gronk. | ||||
11 | Vikings | J.J. McCarthy | QB | Michigan |
J.J. McCarthy is either going to the Giants or Vikings. Per Crackrok Vikings love the JJ to JJ connection. | ||||
12 | Broncos | Dallas Turner | EDGE | Alabama |
Sean Payton can get Bo Nix int he second. Historically Sean Payton has loved going DL in the first round and getting Turner here would be too tempting to resist. | ||||
13 | Raiders | Michael Penix | QB | Washington |
Michael Penix wrote an open letter to all the GMs, which is a try hard move that head coach Antonio Pierce would love. | ||||
14 | Saints | Olu Fashanu | OL | Penn St |
Any chance Derek Carr has of being successful relies on getting a ton of time. Fashanu can help with that. | ||||
15 | Colts | Quinyon Mitchell | CB | Toledo |
Colts aren't afraid to take a shot on an athletic freak from the midwest like Quinyon Mitchell from the MAC. | ||||
16 | Seahawks | Troy Fautanu | IOL | Washington |
Fautanu has a ton of tieds to new head coaching staff in Seattle and is a need fit as well. | ||||
17 | Jaguars | Terrion Arnold | CB | Alabama |
AFC South is turning into an arms race in the passing game and Jags need some secondary help. | ||||
18 | Bengals | Amarius Mims | OT | Georgia |
Tee Higgins realized he's not going to get traded and the Bengals season revolves around keeping Joe Burrow upright. | ||||
19 | Rams | Jared Verse | EDGE | Florida State |
No Aaron Donald means the Rams need to get some pass rush help. Jared Verse is a day one boost. | ||||
20 | Steelers | Graham Barton | OL | Duke |
Steelers insiders having been saying Barton is the pick here and hard to disagree. | ||||
21 | Dolphins | JerZhan Newton | DL | Illinois |
Dolphins need help rushing the passer and Newton's interrior push could be huge. | ||||
22 | Eagles | Cooper DeJean | CB | Iowa |
Eagles almost ALWAYS use a first round pick on a player they've brought in for a visit. DeJean gives the Eagles some young secondary help and gets the fans off of Howie's back for not doing enough on the defensive side of the ball. | ||||
23 | Vikings via CLE & HOU | Laiatu Latu | EDGE | UCLA |
Latu could certainly go much higher, but if he's available here Vikings will snatch him up. | ||||
24 | Cowboys | Xavier Worthy | WR | Texas |
As we know Dallas SUCKS especially when it comes to cap management. A cheap fast WR helps solve a lot of Cowboys problems, but they'll still suck. | ||||
25 | Packers | Nate Wiggins | CB | Clemson |
Wiggins has some concerns about his size, but seems like a good fit for the new look Packers defense. | ||||
26 | Buccaneers | Chop Robinson | EDGE | Penn State |
Todd Bowles is a defensive minded head coach and Chop Robinson feels like a perfect fit for Bowles scheme. | ||||
27 | Cardinalsvia HOU | JC Latham | OL | Alabama |
Cardinals get their WR and their OL in the first round, mission accomplished. | ||||
28 | Bills | Brian Thomas | WR | LSU |
Stefon Diggs pouted his way out of Buffalo and Bills really need some WR help. | ||||
29 | Lions | Kool Aid McKinstry | CB | Alabama |
Dan Campbell has to be a -1000 favorite to draft a guy named Kool Aid. | ||||
30 | Ravens | Jordan Morgan | OT | Oklahoma |
Ravens lost a lot of OL production in the off season, Morgan is a good option here. | ||||
31 | 49ers | Darius Robinson | EDGE | Missouri |
Chase Young may not be the answer at edge. Robinson is a good option. | ||||
32 | Chiefs | Ennis Rakestraw | CB | Missouri |
The Chiefs will be missing L'Jarius Sneed and CB here makes a ton of sense. |
