East Carolina (-425)
We are backing East Carolina’s Ace, Trey Yesavage. He is one of the top RHP prospects in the upcoming MLB Draft. Yesavage owns a 6-1 record with a 1.86 ERA, 74 K, 14 BB, in 48.1 IP, and a 1.54 SIERA. Charlotte has a 94 wRC+ and is 3-6 SU on the road; they may struggle to build momentum against Yesavage. Inversely, East Carolina is 15-1 SU at Clark-LeClair Stadium this season.
Duke (-298)
Duke’s Ace Jonathan Santucci is another top prospect for the 2024 MLB Draft. The southpaw is 5-0, with a 2.92 ERA, and has punched out 63 batters, only 14 walks, in 40 innings, and a 2.75 SIERA. Behind Santucci is also one of the country’s best bullpens (9th in ERA w/ 3.73). Offensively, the Blue Devils are a great help to Santucci, too.
Duke averages 8.64 runs per game, and they have the 16th-best OPS in the nation. Pitt’s starting pitcher, Ryan Andrade, has a 9.09 ERA slapped next to his name, so Duke should have no issue scoring some runs on Friday.

Coastal Carolina: Riley Eikhoff JR RHP (3-0, 5.75 ERA, 28 K, 8 BB, 36 IP, 3.90 SIERA)
Georgia Southern: Thomas Higgins SO RHP (4-2, 2.92 ERA, 32 K, 12 BB, 40 IP, 3.82 SIERA)
Coastal Carolina has a 3-6 road record and has lost both Game 1s on the road. The Chanticleers don’t have a stud that throws on Fridays like other top programs in the country. CCU’s top notch offense plays their best at home inside their shoebox of a ballpark.
Higgins is a true Ace for Georgia Southern, who is going to keep them in this game for a large portion of it. Truthfully, I think the Chants will catch the action, and I would recommend a bet on the Eagles around game time, when you will probably be able to get a better price on the home team.
