Well, Degens. Thursday night’s Quick Pick entries were some of the three worst these blog lines have ever seen. After going an abysmal zero out of three, we really need to do some serious re-tooling. Unfortunately, Friday night’s one-game NHL slate is lighter than the atomic weight of an electron. And, to pour salt into last night’s wounds, the one game tonight includes the abhorrent Buffalo Sabres. But, “Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?” I think not. So, Friday night, we’re putting Thursday’s troubles behind us. More importantly, we’re building an exacta banger for a good and proper start to the weekend. The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for March 29
Jesper Bratt Higher Than 0.5 Assists
The New Jersey Devils have had a rather disappointing season, which also saw the firing of their coach, Lindy Ruff. With that being said, they are still right in the midst of a dogfight for a Wild Card spot. Coming into Friday night’s game against the Sabres, they have roughly a 71% shot at making the playoffs. It also helps that the Devils have now won a solid four of their last five games. A large part of the Devils late surge in March has been the play of winger Jesper Bratt. The Swede comes into this game in fine form and on a three-game point streak. That brings his season total to 23 goals and 49 assists, and tonight, we’ll take assist number 50. Bratt has four apples in just his last two games. He also torched these same Sabres in both October and November with a goal and two assists. We’re keying in Swedish winger Jesper Bratt to go Higher Than 0.5 Assists against the Sanres on Friday!
