The fantasy hockey playoffs are here! Welcome back to the weekly Fantasy Hockey waiver wire article. We’ll be looking at the teams with the most favorable fantasy hockey schedules and the fantasy hockey waiver wire.
After a busy start to the week, we’ll be looking at the best pickups for the remainder of this important fantasy hockey playoffs schedule. There are just two games on Wednesday, 14 on Thursday, one on Friday, 15 on Saturday, and one on Sunday.
Optimizing your lineup is important in any fantasy sports league, and fantasy hockey is no different. Given the NHL’s unbalanced scheduling, certain teams have better schedules on certain weeks throughout the year.

Fantasy Hockey Schedule Week 24: Waiver Wire Pickups & Adds (March 27 – 31)
The Buffalo Sabres are the team to target as they play on both Wednesday and Friday, along with Saturday. The Anaheim Ducks and Ottawa Senators also play three times the rest of the week.
Buffalo Sabres
- Wednesday vs. OTT
- Friday vs. NJD
- Saturday vs. TOR
Owen Power (D – 28% Rostered)
Sabres defenseman Owen Power has been averaging well over 22 minutes per game while filling the stat sheet. He has four points, three hits, and 10 blocked shots in his last six contests while playing 23:32 a night.
Power sees time on the second power-play unit as well as the top penalty-killing unit for Buffalo.
JJ Peterka (RW – 26% Rostered)
Young winger JJ Peterka has burst onto the scene this season for the Buffalo Sabres. He has 44 points (24 goals) in 72 games, including six points (four goals) in his last seven contests.
Peterka plays on the second line and top power-play unit for the Sabres.
Anaheim Ducks
- Thursday @ SEA
- Saturday @ EDM
- Sunday @ VAN
Trevor Zegras (C- 32% Rostered)
Trevor Zegras is known for his highlight-reel plays, and he could help you win a fantasy hockey championship. The forward returned from injury on Tuesday night and should look to finish the season strong with his name in trade rumors.
Troy Terry (RW – 35% Rostered)
Troy Terry may be the most recognizable name on the Ducks roster. He’s second on the team with 49 points in 66 games and has three points in his last five contests.
Ottawa Senators
- Thursday @ SEA
- Saturday @ EDM
- Sunday @ VAN
Shane Pinto (C – 21% Rostered)
Shane Pinto missed the first half of the season due to a suspension but has been solid for the Senators since returning. He has 21 points (seven goals) in 27 games.
Pinto is centering the Senators’ top line while also seeing time on the second power-play unit.
Artem Zub (D – 3% Rostered)
Artem Zub is a defenseman’s defenseman. He only has 23 points in 57 games on the season but that comes with 101 blocked shots and 121 hits. Give him a look in a banger league.
