The Ottawa Senators haven’t really had a season to write home about. However, veteran winger Claude Giroux certainly is. At 36 years old, Giroux comes into Monday’s game against the Capitals with 18 goals and 34 assists. For tonight’s banger’s purposes, we’re looking for a singular point from Giroux.
After all, Giroux is riding an eight-game point streak, including three goals and seven assists. Back in October, Giroux netted a goal and tallied an assist against these same Washington Capitals. So pack your bags because we’re going with Claude Giroux Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Caps.
Adrian Kempe Higher Than 0.5 Points
The LA Kings are slowly but surely turning the corner here in the month of February. And they come into Monday’s meeting against the Oilers having won five out of their last six. A large reason for the King’s February success is a guy by the name of Adrian Kempe.
The Swedish winger is on a four-game point streak, with two goals and four assists in that stretch. In two games against tonight’s opponent, Kempe has now logged three points. In the words of Kramer, our second NHL Underdog entry is a lock, Jerry! Go ahead and press Higher Than 0.5 Points for Adrian Kempe against the Oilers on Monday night.
Jared McCann Higher Than 0.5 Points
Things aren’t mathematically done and dusted for the Seattle Kraken just yet. But if you’ll permit me to use a small pun, their playoff hopes are on thin ice. My advice to the Kraken when you find yourself in times of trouble would be to lean on veteran center Jared McCann. He has tallied 25 goals and 21 assists this season and is currently hotter than a Caroline Reaper.
McCann comes into Monday’s game against the Bruins riding a nasty seven-game point streak. And if not for one pointless blip against the lowly Sharks, he’d be riding a 14-game point streak.
