Campbell: SO. Zach Sebers
UCSB has a major matchup advantage on the mound here. Zach Sebers transferred to Campbell from Kirkwood CC. At Kirkwood, Sebers NEVER pitched as he was a position player. Looking under the hood at Tyler Bremner, both SIERA and FIP think he should have had a much better Freshman year. To be honest, it was still a solid campaign.
In Game 1 of this series, the Gauchos won 20-8. UCSB was able to take their foot off the gas and not use their important bullpen pieces because they were leading 12-3 after the 3rd inning. That was my biggest question about this Santa Barbara squad in the preseason. If the Gauchos continue to hit as they did on Friday, they will be an Omaha-caliber ball club.

Friday afternoon, Virginia Tech defeated Charlotte 10-0 in Game 1 of the three-game set. Parliament transferred into Blacksburg this offseason from Rutgers.
Parliament was a starter with the Scarlett Knights in 2022 but was moved to the bullpen in 2023. As a starting pitcher in 2022, he was 5-1 with a 3.15 ERA. With the opportunity to take over a bigger role with the Hokies, I think we are getting some line value backing the transfer along with this powerful offense.
