Best Michigan State at Wisconsin Player Projections

December 5th, Wisconsin walked into the Breslin Center, and the game was no longer competitive after five minutes. The Badgers led by double digits for most of the game and won 70-57. In the last five matchups between these two schools, road teams are 5-0 straight up.

Assuming Michigan State will be more competitive this time around, I am intrigued by some positive Spartan player projections. AJ Hoggard to score higher than 10.5 points is very intriguing to me.

First off, Hoggard had 14 points in the loss earlier this year to Wisconsin. Trends also suggest that this is a strong play. Hoggard has scored more than 10.5 points in five of Michigan State’s eight Big Ten games and in 13 of MSU’s last 16 games.

Tyson Walker to record higher than 22.5 points, rebounds, and assists is a great look. During the first matchup this season, Walker put up 22 points, 4 rebounds, and an assist.

In a more competitive game script Walker could have more assists and expect similar point production.

Lynn Greer III (Saint Joseph’s) Higher Than 11.5 Points

Saint Joseph’s plays St. Bonaventure Friday night in what should be an A10 barn burner. The Hawks attempt the 15th most three-pointers per field goal attempt in the country. However, the Bonnies have the nation’s 45th-best three-point defense.

This game sets up Junior Guard Lynn Greer III better than some of St. Joes’ other shooters. Greer is a guard that isn’t afraid to drive and draw contact.

St. Bonaventure is a team that fouls frequently, and they’ve allowed the 3rd most free throws against them in A10 conference play. Greer is 64-80 (80%) from the Charity stripe this season.
