Welcome back to the weekly Fantasy Hockey waiver wire article. We’ll be taking a look at the teams with the most favorable fantasy hockey schedules and the fantasy hockey waiver wire. Below are a few players that should be available on waivers for each squad.
The NHL is back to a more balanced schedule this week, but there are still a few lighter nights. Less than half of the league plays on Wednesday (seven games), Friday (four), and Sunday (two).
Optimizing your lineup is crucial in any fantasy sports league, and fantasy hockey is no different. Given the NHL’s unbalanced scheduling, there are certain teams that have better schedules on certain weeks throughout the year.

Fantasy Hockey Schedule Week 16: Waiver Wire Pickups & Adds
The St. Louis Blues, Los Angeles Kings, and Seattle Kraken are the only three teams to play on all three lighter nights this week.
St. Louis Blues
- Tuesday @ CGY
- Wednesday @ VAN
- Friday @ SEA
- Sunday vs. LAK
Brayden Schenn (C, LW – 35% Rostered)
Brayden Schenn is installed as the Blues’ second-line center, with Brandon Saad and Jake Neighbours (also worth a look in deeper leagues) on his wings. He also centers the second power-play unit for St. Louis.
While Schenn only has 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 44 games this season, he’s been hot as of late. The veteran forward has six points (two goals and four assists) in his last six games.
Schenn offers position versatility at center and left wing and should help you out later in the week playing on Friday and Sunday.
Colton Parayko (D – 24% Rostered)
Big defenseman Colton Parayko would be my main target on the Blues this week. He racks up the blocked shots, shots on goal, and points while playing over 23 minutes on the top pair.
Parayko is on a two-game point streak and has four points in his last eight games. He’s also been shooting the puck a bit more and, of course, giving you plenty of hits and blocks.
Los Angeles Kings
- Wednesday vs. BUF
- Friday @ COL
- Sunday @ STL
Trevor Moore (LW, RW – 66% Rostered)
Trevor Moore is rostered in two-thirds of leagues, so he doesn’t technically qualify for this article, but he needs to be picked up if he’s available, given the schedule this week. He has 33 points (21 goals, 12 assists) and 146 shots in 44 games this season.
Phillip Danault (C – 29% Rostered)
Second-line center Phillip Danault is known more for his two-way game, but he’s been chipping in offensively recently.
Well, he hasn’t recorded a point in the last three games, but he did have a six-game point streak (two goals, six assists) just prior to that. Danault plays on the second line with Moore and Kevin Fiala, and also centers the second power-play unit.
Seattle Kraken
- Wednesday vs. CHI
- Friday vs. STL
- Sunday vs. CBJ
Adam Larsson (D – 42% Rostered)
Veteran defenseman Adam Larsson is worth a look if you need some blueline help. He only has 14 points on the season, but he plays over 23 minutes per game on the top pair for Seattle.
Jordan Eberle (RW – 25% Rostered)
Veteran winger Jordan Eberle has stepped up recently for the Kraken as Seattle deals with some injuries. He has five points (three goals, two assists) in his last five games and seven points in his last eight games.
Eberle can also be counted on to shoot the puck a bit, especially while playing on the top line.
This is a very favorable schedule for the Kraken this week, playing three home games against inferior opponents.
