Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 10
Victor Wembanyama – Lower than 0.5 Doubles-Doubles
San Antonio’s star rookie Victor Wembanyama got a double-double in his last game, and is averaging one for the season, but he has not been automatically ringing them up lately. His double-double on Sunday snapped a streak of six straight games where he didn’t register double-figures in rebounds (he also didn’t get double-digit points in one of those games). I’m counting on Detroit to keep him off the glass just enough tomorrow night.
Chet Holmgren – Lower than 7.5 Rebounds
You can’t mention Victor Wembanyama without including his rookie counterpart, Chet Holmgren. And I’m counting on him to have a below-average night on the boards tomorrow night as Oklahoma City travels to Miami. Holmgren is averaging less than 7.5 rebounds on the season (7.3 to be exact), hasn’t grabbed eight boards or more in four straight games, and has only topped this projection once in his last eight contests.
Brandon Ingram – Lower than 22.5 Points
Let’s make it three lower than plays for Wednesday. New Orlean’s Brandon Ingram hasn’t topped 22.5 points in four straight games (hasn’t topped 20, actually) and is averaging only 22.3 points per game this season. While Golden State has a mediocre defense this season, hopefully they can make it five straight low-scoring games for Ingram tomorrow.
