NFL Week 14 Referee Report: Betting Stats and Trends
Scott Novak
Scott Novak has been a darling for underdogs this season. In fact, in games officiated by Scott Novak, the underdogs are 30-12 (71.4%) ATS. Last week, Novak was the lead official on Monday Night Football, where the Bengals not only covered as a 10-point underdog but won the game outright!
Thus far this season, underdogs are 8-3-1 ATS (70.8%), including road underdogs being 6-3-1 ATS! This week, Novak is assigned to officiate the Los Angeles Rams visiting the Baltimore Ravens.
Best Bet: Rams +7.5
John Hussey
I’ve mentioned John Hussey on the referee report plenty of times on the NFL Referee Report. This week, Hussey is assigned to officiate the NFC East matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. Despite Hussey being a favorable official to the home teams, the Eagles are 6-0 ATS in games officiated by John Hussey.
Home teams are 6-4 SU and 6-3-1 ATS this season. However, I can’t ignore the ATS record of the Eagles when Hussey is officiating their games. This week, the Eagles are catching 3.5 points on the road in Dallas!
Best Bet: Eagles +3.5
