Underdog Fantasy Pick Em’ Flowchart
Core Plays
The core plays are going to be my favorite plays this week as your base foundation to start your pick-em entry to maximize. This week, there are two projections I love to get the Underdog Fantasy Pick Em entry started.
Joe Mixon Higher Than 19.5 Receiving Yards
Thus far this season, in 10 out of the 12 weeks, opposing running backs have gone higher than this projection against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Only two teams that didn’t were division opponents of the Jaguars, the Colts in Week 1 who didn’t have Jonathan Taylor and Zack Moss. Additionally, in Week 11, Spears had 2 for 12 and King Henry 1 rec for 6 yards.
Every running back, including multiple from the same team, has gone higher than 19.5 receiving yards. Lastly, Mixon has gone higher than this projection in 5 out of the last 6 weeks. With a backup quarterback for the Bengals, I would expect check-downs and easy passes to Mixon.
Sam Howell Higher Than 38.5 Pass Attempts
The Washington Commanders will host the Miami Dolphins this week, and I am expecting Howell to continue throwing the football all over the field. Howell leads the league in total passing yards this season. Furthermore, Howell has attempted at least 40 pass attempts in six straight games.
I believe Howell will have to continue throwing the football to keep up with the scoring firepower of the Miami Dolphins. I love this entry for the Underdog Fantasy Pick Em’ Entry for Week 13!
3x Multiplier
Derrick Henry Higher Than 74.5 Rush + Receiving Yards
Derrick Henry faces a rush defense this week in the Indianapolis Colts who he has plenty of success against in his career. In fact, in 13 career games against the Colts, Henry has racked up 1,330 rushing yards and 172 receiving yards. Furthermore, Henry has run for this projection alone in eight out of the last 10 career meetings.
The Colts have allowed the opposing running back group to accumulate this projection in every game except for Week 2 against the Houston Texans. Lastly, Henry is averaging 15.6 rush attempts per game over the last five games. I expect Henry to be heavily involved in the running and passing game this week.
Christian McCaffrey Higher Than 31.5 Receiving Yards
The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the best rush defenses in the league. However, I do believe that McCaffrey will be effective in the passing game for the 49ers. I expect Kyle Shanahan to put Brock Purdy in favorable situations and rely on McCaffrey. Furthermore, McCaffrey has gone higher than this projection in three out last five weeks. I will McCaffrey in this spot.
5x Multiplier
Rhamondre Stevenson Higher Than 64.5 Rushing Yards
Rhamondre Stevenson comes into this week against the Chargers in a favorable matchup. The Chargers come into this week as one of the worst-ranked rush defenses in the entire league.
In fact, over the last three weeks of the regular season, the Chargers are allowing 166.3 rushing yards per game. Additionally, Stevenson has gone higher than this projection in three straight weeks. I except the success to continue for Stevenson this week. I love this entry for the Underdog Fantasy Pick Em’ Entry for Week 13!
James Conner Higher Than 51.5 Rushing Yards
James Conner will make his return to Pittsburgh this Sunday in a “revenge” spot. However, Conners has been running the ball well for the Cardinals over the last five games where he is averaging 4.9 yards per carry. Furthermore, the Steelers defense allows 4.21 yards per carry. Even though the Steelers’ rush defense has improved over the last two weeks, I do expect Conners to find success on the ground. Lastly, eight out of 12 running backs have gone higher than this projection against the Steelers.
10x Multiplier
Jonathan Mingo Higher Than 25.5 Receiving Yards
The Carolina Panthers will start the post-Frank Reich era by traveling to Tampa Bay. Through Week 12 of the NFL regular season, the Buccaneers are allowing the most receiving yards to the wide receiver position at 196.8 per game.
With the decline in production for Adam Thielen, Mingo is a great pivot to accumulate the yardage. Over the last two weeks, Mingo has been targeted six times each, and last week against the Titans had 60 receiving yards. I love this entry for the Underdog Fantasy Pick Em’ Entry for Week 13!
