Football Pick of the Day (September 24th): NFL Week 3 Total Bet

If you’re looking for ways to get down with Thursday Night Football, don’t miss our prop bet and spread plays from earlier in the week. Today we’ll round it all out with a look at the total for the primetime action as well.
Everything is pointing to the over in this one. For starters, the Falcons’ defense has been nothing short of atrocious this season. They have allowed 54 points already and were run over at home on Sunday. More problematic is how many passing yards they’re giving up and how quickly teams are scoring on them. Jordan Love is likely to feast on that and keep the scoring high.
Also helping out those numbers is the return of Michael Penix Jr. While he is far from a lock to light up the scoreboard, the Falcons put 13 on the Steelers with Cooper Rush under center. The Packers are currently giving up 28.0 points per game, which is more than a touchdown more than the Steelers. With a better quarterback, they should pick up at least a few scores.
Put it all together and combine it with a short week for the defenses to make adjustments – it can only be an over.
