Underdog Pick’ems for Thanksgiving Slate
Jahmyr Gibbs HIGHER 78.5 Rush + Receiving Yards
Gibbs is explosive in both the receiving and rushing game. He is splitting work with David Montgomery. But even since Montgomery came back two weeks ago, Gibbs has cleared this line easily. Even in a split backfield, Gibbs should still get 14+ touches (carries/receptions) to get past this line.
Dak Prescott HIGHER 279.5 Passing Yards
Since the Cowboys’ Week 7 bye, they have been very pass-heavy overall. Even in very positive game scripts against the Rams and Giants, Prescott threw for over 300 yards. Now he faces the worst defenses in the NFL. The Commanders’ defense has made every quarterback look like a superstar, even Tommy Devito last week. Prescott already is a star and playing at a very high level, so look for him to pass for well over this line.
CeeDee Lamb HIGHER 89.5 Receiving Yards
Sam Howell HIGHER 38.5 Passing Attempts
Howell leads the NFL in passing yards, passing attempts, and passes completed. Part of this is due to what I mentioned about the Cowboys’ matchup and the Commanders’ terrible defense that puts them in negative game scripts. And part is due to offensive coordinator Eric Beinemy calling a very pass-happy game plan. No reason to think anything will change on Thursday, especially with the Commanders likely in a negative game script again. Since Week 4, Howell has gone over this attempt number every week except for one.
Christian McCaffery HIGHER 18.85 Fantasy Points
We know that McCaffery is a red zone threat to score almost every week, as he has a touchdown in every game this season but one. As long as he scores a touchdown, combined with his normal usage in both the rushing and receiving game, he should easily clear this line.
