It’s a two-pack of MACtion tonight on our Wednesday Night Football slate. Central Michigan takes the trip east to face the Bobcats of Ohio, and Buffalo takes the longer trip west to Take on MAC East leaders, Miami.
Week 12 Wednesday Night College Football Picks
Central Michigan at Ohio (-10) (O/U 46.5)
Ohio came into this season as the second favorite in the league, but they have not lived up to expectations. This was due to both injury and poor play. Ohio is still alive to make this MAC championship but needs some help as they are a game behind Miami, Ohio, but do not have the tiebreaker with them.
Central has played tough the last few weeks but has not looked amazing. With Toledo on the docket, CMU is going to give their all to get that win this week and become bowl-eligible.
If not for a flukey fumble in their own territory last week, Buffalo could have beaten Ohio at home. I will buy the road dogs in a last-ditch effort to get to bowl season.
The Pick: Central Michigan +10
Buffalo at Miami Ohio (-9) (O/U41.5)
As mentioned above, Buffalo was covering for the majority of that contest against Ohio. They fumbled late, which cost them a chance to cover and possibly win. At 3-7, their bowl hopes are over, which means they give some run to younger guys on the roster.
On the other hand, Miami is in a great place to make it back to the MAC Title game. They are 8-2 on the season with losses to Miami, Florida, and Toledo. It’s safe to say the Redhawks are solid. Two weeks ago, they lost their glue guy and starting QB Brett Gabbert to a leg injury, and he will not return. They could easily get by Akron by committing to the run game and stopping their poor offense. I am interested to see their game plan against a tougher Buffalo squad.
MAC TOTAL QBR SEASON (OVERALL RANK)
1 Dequan Finn/Toledo 70.2 (30)
2 Brett Gabbert/Miami Ohio 66.4 (42)
3 Kurtis Rourke/Ohio 62.7 (59)
4 Jase Bauer/Central Michigan 52.0 (89)
5 Connor Bazelak/Bowling Green 41.6 (110)
6 Rocky Lombardi/Northern Illinois 36.0 (118)

With that being said, this team knows what they need to do, and I believe they are getting a break playing a Buffalo team that is all but checked out. Give me the home team.
The Pick: Miami -9
