A 1-1 night of Tuesday Night MACtion. Good thing we have Wednesday Night MACtion to pull the sweep. To touch on last night. Northern Illinois (-5.5) was on the back foot from the jump as Central Michigan got on the scoreboard quickly. NIU had no answer for that QB run game from Central. Offensively, they moved the ball fine, putting 31 points on the board. If you had told me NIU scored 31 pregame, I would have wagered A LOT.
Toledo rolled as expected. In all three phases of the game, Toledo was the better team, and it was obvious. From taking the opening kickoff back to picking off Cole Synder to 80-yard TD runs The Rockets were the correct side. Let’s take a dive into Wednesday’s College Football Slate.

Week 10 Wednesday Night College Football Picks
Ball State at Bowling Green (-5.5) (O/U 40)
Bowling Green has been extremely competitive this year, even against some bigger FBS opponents. They only lost by 10 against Liberty, easily covered against Michigan, and BEAT Georgia Tech! Against other MAC teams, they are 2-2 as they got blown out by two of the better MAC schools and ran through some of the lesser ones.
Ball State is 2-6 on the season with one MAC win. They were only competitive in one of their MAC losses, shockingly against Toledo. There is no real way to provide a reasonable rationale for that. I will go with a Toledo look-ahead spot combined with Ball State playing their best game at home against the conference favorites.
I do believe this game will be fairly close throughout, but Bowling Green will come through in the end. If this spread was a tad longer, I would probably go with Ball State here, Falcons by a touchdown.
The Pick: Bowling Green -5.5
Kent State at Akron (-4) (O/U 38)
Remember when Kent State was… good. Their turnover this season was otherworldly bad, and that is showing. A 1-7 (0-4 MAC) is not what Kent has been the last few years. Akron, on the other hand, is very on-brand for them. The Zips are used to being one of the worst teams in the entire nation. Although they have shown signs of improvement, it is more of the same as the Zips.
Bad offenses against bad defenses, this line seems a bit trappy towards taking Kent State here, so we will lay the four points with the home team.
The Pick: Akron -4
