Week 10 Tuesday Night College Football Picks

Inject the MACTION. The staple of midweek college football is back. Northern Illinois takes on Central Michigan, and MAC favorite Toledo hosts Buffalo. There is nothing quite like MAC football. All around Chaos, nothing makes sense, pure beauty. Coming off our admittedly worst week of the college football year. It’s time to find some winners on this Tuesday Night Football slate.

Week 10 Tuesday Night College Football Picks

Northern Illinois (-5.5) at Central Michigan (O/U 44.5)

Northern Illinois has one of the more proven quarterbacks in the league, and they are humming at the moment. Three straight MAC wins have them a single game back in the MAC West. NIU’s sole MAC loss game against the best team in the league, Toledo. They then went on to handle some other MAC teams, which included an impressive win against Ohio, who was one of the preseason favorites.

Central Michigan is 4-4 as well, but they have not looked as great. Losing to Buffalo by 24, losing to 2-6 Ball State, and only beating 1-7 Akron by a touchdown are all poor efforts. This is a case of two teams going in opposite directions. We will lay the points with the better team.

The Pick: Northern Illinois -5.5

Buffalo at Toledo (-15.5) (O/U 52.5)

Toledo is the class of the MAC, and Buffalo has lost its spice from the last five seasons. These two teams have been on the opposite sides of blowouts multiple times this year. Toledo does the blowing out, while Buffalo has received it all year. Pause. Toledo has the most dynamic offense in the league.

Led by Dequan Finn, these boys can run it up. Buffalo has let up 35 plus points multiple times this season, and I do not see them slowing down Toledo. Defensively, Toledo has been a little vulnerable this season. Buffalo ranks 124th out of 133 teams in terms of yards per play this season. Therefore, I do not see this Buffalo offense keeping up with the Toledo pace.

The Pick: Northern Illinois -15.5
