Underdog Fantasy Daily Pick’Em Entry – October 1
Corey Seager – Texas – Lower than 8.5 Fantasy Points
It’s risky taking the Lower on an MVP candidate, but Corey Seager has been limping to the finish line. He hasn’t driven in a run in over a week (September 24th, to be exact) and has come nowhere near 8.5 fantasy points in any of his recent performances. Plus, he’s 0-7 against Sunday’s starter, George Kirby.
Cody Bellinger – Cubs – Higher than 8.0 Fantasy Points
Cody Bellinger’s first season in the Windy City has turned out to be one of the best of his career. And I’m counting on him wrapping it up with a big game on Sunday. He scored 13 fantasy points on Saturday to help keep Chicago’s slim playoff hopes alive. And if they need him to have a big game again tomorrow, he can do it – he is slashing .600/.600/.800 against Sunday’s starter, Adrian Houser.
Steven Kwan – Cleveland – Lower than 1.5 Total Bases
Finally, I’m fading Steven Kwan on Sunday in the Guardians’ season finale. Kwan has only topped 1.5 total bases once in his last six games, and does not hit Detroit starter Eduardo Rodriguez very well. His career slash against the lefty is .143/.143/.286 in seven plate appearances. Lower than 1.5 total bases it is.
