College Football Week 5 DFS Picks

We are back with more College Football DFS picks for this week! Surprisingly enough, the winning GPP lineup in the main contest only had one player from the 70-point total Colorado-Oregon game. This week, we have another game with a total in the 70s, and that is USC-Colorado. I expect USC to roll like Oregon did. Unlike last week, I would not be shocked if Colorado shows some life here.

Again, I do not think you need to go crazy with stacking this game, but it’s important to have small pieces from it sprinkled in your lineups. Let’s take a look at some stacks on this week’s slate to bring your lineups to the top.

College Football Week 5 DFS Picks

Game Stack: Kansas (63) at Texas -16.5

High total, conference game, shootout potential.

I am expecting this Kansas offense to really push Texas in this matchup. This is key for College Football DFS. When the favorite rolls, you can be in trouble. Texas has the Red River Rivalry to look forward to next week, so I would not be shocked if Kansas gets on the board quickly, forcing Texas to lock in and light up the scoreboard. They got off to a slow start in their game against Wyoming and quickly scored a lot of points in the second half.

Quarterback: Quinn Ewers $8,700

Ewers is the 5th highest-priced QB on this slate and has done very well this season. He is averaging 25.8 fantasy points per game. He has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark already, and I still do not believe he has truly made his mark yet. Ewers is overdue for a 350-yard, 4-TD performance, and the weak Kansas Defense is the perfect opponent to do it against.

Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy: $6,500

Xavier Worthy is an electric asset to this Longhorns offense and has the ability to break the game on a single play. He is currently not leading the team in receiving yards or fantasy points per game, but once the season is complete, I would expect Worthy to be WR1 on this Texas offense. He is a great stack with Ewers, as he is a player who can catch a screen pass and take it for 70 yards, tallying the total up for multiple players in your lineup.

Running Back: Devin Neal $6,000

Devin Neal is averaging 26 points in four weeks this season with 394 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He is the go-to guy when the Jayhawks get to the goal line and provides some serious upside. Neal should garner a minimum of 15 touches in this game. That is a great number for a running back priced at 6k.

Honorable Mentions

Running Back: Trevor Etienne $5,200

Kentucky running back Ray Davis is the running back that will garner attention in this matchup. People cannot forget about Trevor Etienne. For $1,500 less, he seems to be a great option. Through four games, Etienne has 15 more yards on one less carry. What he lacks is the touchdowns. Davis has five rushing touchdowns as opposed to Etienne’s two. With nearly equivalent stat lines, I expect water to find its level and Etienne to break out of his shell. He is a great buy at $5,200.

Quarterback: Taylen Green $6,200

Boise State QB Taylen Green will have a nice, fast-paced game script in this contest. He is a QB that has plenty of breakout potential in him. Memphis does their work on the offensive side of the ball and will not provide much resistance for a Boise State offense that will be able to run with them.
