Top Fantasy Hockey Dynasty Stashes for 2023/24

It goes without saying that filling out a fantasy hockey team roster in a dynasty league is far different than in a redraft league. While most articles and rankings out there concentrate on the more common redraft leagues, this one right here is giving you some advice on succeeding in a fantasy hockey dynasty league. Here are some of the top fantasy hockey dynasty stashes for 2023/24. (No, Connor Bedard isn’t on this list – obviously, draft him if you can).

Top Fantasy Hockey Dynasty Stashes for 2023/24

Wyatt Johnston – Dallas – Center

20-year-old Wyatt Johnston just completed a successful rookie campaign for the Stars – but not so successful that he’s high on everyone’s radars. That’s the key to a good fantasy hockey dynasty stash. He found the back of the net 24 times last season, adding 17 helpers for a solid 41 points. He also saw time on the Dallas power play, which is helpful in fantasy hockey. Projected to be the second-line center this season, Johnston is a player worth targeting, whether via draft, waivers, or trade.

Quinton Byfield – Los Angeles – Center/Left Wing

First off – Quinton Byfield will probably have two position eligibility, which is a bonus. Plus, he hasn’t really produced much on the NHL level, so he is a guy who you can probably snatch and stash. In 99 NHL games, he has a total of 3 goals and 22 points. Nothing to get too excited about. However, he is still only 21 years old and was the #2 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, so the potential is there. Plus, he’s currently projected to be skating on the Kings’ top line.

Alexander Holtz – New Jersey – Center/Right Wing

New Jersey center Alexander Holtz is a guy who you can probably snap up in your league, as he has yet to produce on the NHL level. The seventh overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry draft has a grand total of three goals and three assists in 28 career games in the big leagues. However, he’s projected to skate not only on New Jersey’s second line but also on their second power-play unit. He might be worth taking a flier on.

Luke Evangelista – Nashville – Right Wing

When Luke Evangelista made it to the NHL last season, he made a mark. In 24 games, he scored seven goals and added eight assists for 15 points. A very solid showing in a small sample size. He’s primed for a bigger role this season in Nashville, as he’s projected to be on the second line (or maybe third) and on the first power play unit. Grab him if he’s available.

Thomas Novak – Nashville – Center

Let’s stick around the Music City and talk about one of Evangelista’s teammates, Thomas Novak. In fact, they are currently projected to both play together on the Predators’ second line. Novak had a very good second year in the league last season, with 17 goals and 26 assists in 51 games. That production level may have ensured he isn’t available in your league, plus he’s 26 years old already, but if available, you can do far worse than adding him to your dynasty squad.
