Week 2 Easy IDP Rankings Start/Sit Charts scrolling index and notes. The ⬆️ Indicates there is a potential upside to the next level. A (*) are the known NFL players for consistent IDP production, no matter the match-up strength. If there are two players appearing on one line. There’s either a question of rotation, health, or who the starter is. Looking for Week 2 cornerbacks or a defensive player rolling the waiver wire?

Marking injuries isn’t the focus. Always check your league’s latest updates. And rarely would I ever suggest an unproven backup as an option for a starter, even in the deepest of formats.

Week 2 Easy IDP Rankings Start/Sit Charts

1. Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Jordan Hicks – ILB
  2. Ivan Pace – ILB
  3. Danielle Hunter – OLB
  4. Haason Reddick – OLB
  5. Josh Sweat- DE
  6. Reed Blankenship- SAF
  7. Harrison Smith – SAF
  8. Camryn Bynum – SAF
  9. Justin Evans – SAF
POS. Vikings Strength
DE Dean Lowry OK
NT Jonathan Bullard OK
DE Harrison Phillips OK
OLB *Danielle Hunter Solid ⬆️
ILB Ivan Pace Solid
ILB *Jordan Hicks Solid
OLB Wonnum/Davenport Weak
SAF *Harrison Smith Solid
SAF Camryn Bynum Solid
SAF Josh Metellus OK ⬆️
  • Ivan Pace was named the last-minute starting ILB2. Pace played 68% of the snaps and checked all the boxes, but an increase in snaps would go a long way.
  • Josh Meteluss played the third safety with 84% of the snaps and had 5 tackles. It could be worth monitoring early for deeper formats.
  • Marcus Davenport (ankle) was a late scratch. Continue to avoid him and D.J. Wonnum.
POS. Eagles Strength
DE Brandon Graham Weak
DT J.Carter/J.Davis OK ⬆️
DT Fletcher Cox OK
DE Josh Sweat* Solid ⬆️
ILB C.Elliss / N.Morrow Weak
ILB Z. Cunningham Solid ⬆️
LB/ED Haason Reddick* Solid ⬆️
SAF Reed Blankenship Solid ⬆️
SAF Justin Evans Solid ⬆️
SAF Terrell Edmunds Weak
  • Christian Elliss or Nicholas Morrow will likely replace Nakobe Dean in Week 2. For Thursday, the favorite has to be Zach Cunningham to lead the way. However, all bets are off if Rashaan Evans is activated for Week 3.
  • Interior D-line snap count: Fletcher Cox 68%, Jalen Cater 50%, Jordan Davis 44%, and Milton Williams 41%. That could stand some separation over the next few weeks from a confidence standpoint.
  • Justin Evans played 96% of the snaps as the second starting safety, and as the linebacker situation plays out, Evans may be able to hold some consistency worth monitoring in any format.

2. Chicago Bears @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Devin White- ILB
  2. Antoine Winfield – SAF
  3. Tremaine Edmunds / T.J. Edwards – ILB
  4. Jaquan Brisker – SAF
  5. Ryan Neal – SAF
  6. Veta Vea / Yannick Ngakoue – DL
  7. Eddie Jackson – SAF
POS. Bears Strength
DE Yannick Ngakoue Solid
DT Gervon Dexter Weak
DT Andrew Billings OK ⬆️
DE DeMarcus Walker OK ⬆️
ILB *T.J. Edwards Solid ⬆️
ILB *Tremaine Edmunds Solid ⬆️
ILB Jack Sanborn Weak
SAF Jaquan Brisker Solid ⬆️
SAF Eddie Jackson OK ⬆️
SAF Elijah Hicks Weak
  • Yannick Ngakoue has a history of being inconsistent. Although, on paper, this matchup works in his favor if you must risk it.
  • Interestingly enough, the best-graded PFF ILB for the Bears was Jack Sanborn. Unfortunately, he was still graded well under the bar.
POS. Buccaneers Strength
DE Greg Gaines OK
NT Vita Vea Solid
DE Logan Hall OK
OLB *Shaquil Barrett Solid
ILB Devin White Strong
ILB SirVocea Dennis OK ⬆️
OLB Joe Tryon-Shoyinka OK
SAF Antoine Winfield Solid ⬆️
SAF Ryan Neal Solid
SAF Christian Izien Weak
  • Lavonte David’s (concussion) current replacement is the unknown SirVocea Dennis. For now, even in the deepest leagues, it’s likely not worth the waiver wire addition.
  • Joe Tryon-Shoyinka might want to look over his shoulder at Anthoney Nelson. At least the team should, as well as deep league degen managers.
  • Couldn’t comment on ranking Shaquil Barrett, but via the matchup on paper, 100% healthy or not, there’s production there for the taking.

3. Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Zaire Franklin – ILB
  2. Will Anderson Jr. – DE/OLB
  3. Kwity Paye – DE
  4. Jonathan Greenard – DE
  5. Denzel Perryman – ILB
  6. DeForest Buckner / Grover Stewart- DT
  7. Shaquille Leonard / Christian Harris – ILB
POS. Colts Strength
DE Kwity Paye Solid ⬆️
DT *DeForest Buckner Solid
DT Grover Stewart Solid
DE Odeyingbo/Ebukam OK ⬆️
ILB *Shaquille Leonard Solid
ILB *Zaire Franklin Strong
ILB E.J. Speed OK
SAF Rodney Thomas Weak
SAF Julian Blackmon OK
SAF Nick Cross Weak
  • E.J. Speed likely won’t see more than the 41% of snaps he saw in Week 1. He is a runningback equivalent of a handcuff to Shaquille Leonard as a deep option.
POS. Texans Strength
DE Will Anderson Jr. Solid ⬆️
DT Sheldon Rankins Weak
DT Maliek Collins Weak
DE Jonathan Greenard Solid
ILB Christian Harris Solid
ILB Denzel Perryman Solid ⬆️
LB Henry To’oTo’o Weak
SAF J.Pitre/M.J.Stewart OK ⬆️
SAF J.Ward/E.Murry OK ⬆️
SAF Eric Murray OK
  • It might be a good week to just avoid all safeties. Jimmy Ward was out in Week 1 and is still questionable. If not, assuming Jalen Pitre (chest) doesn’t play or Jimmie Ward (hip) is out again, Eric Murry looks like the best option for the group.
  • Denzel Perryman made his claim to the team’s ILB1, and Christian Harris graded out poorly again.
  • Will Anderson and Jonathan Greenard are going to be hot in the next few weeks with solid or better matchups on tap.

4. Green Bay Packers @ Atlanta Falcons

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. De’Vondre Campbell – ILB
  2. Troy Anderson – ILB
  3. Kaden Elliss – ILB
  4. Grant Delpit – SAF
  5. Jessie Bates – SAF
  6. Packers Edge Rushers – OLB
  7. Kenny Clack – DT
POS. Packers Strength
DE Kenny Clark Solid
DT Tedarrell Slaton Weak
DE Devonte Wyatt OK ⬆️
OLB Preston Smith Solid
ILB *De’Vondre Campbell Solid ⬆️
ILB Q.Walker/I.McDuffie OK ⬆️
OLB R.Gary/L.VanNess Solid
SAF Darnell Savage OK ⬆️
SAF Rudy Ford OK ⬆️
SAF Jonathan Owens Weak
  • Isaiah McDuffie is Quay Walkers deep degen league replacement and likely only going to see around 60% of the available snaps.
  • Luke Van Ness isn’t going anywhere fast as they keep easing Rashan Gary’s back. It’s something to monitor, as a three-headed monster later this season could be forming right now.
  • With a grain of salt, it was stated numerous times this offseason in various reports that Savage was on the verge. That looked really promising for deeper formats if he can keep it up for a few weeks.
POS. Falcons Strength
DE Calais Campbell OK
NT David Onyemata OK ⬆️
DE Grady Jarrett OK ⬆️
OLB Lorenzo Carter Weak
ILB Kaden Elliss Solid ⬆️
ILB Troy Anderson Solid ⬆️
OLB B.Dupree/A.Ebiketie Weak
SAF Jessie Bates Solid ⬆️
SAF Richie Grant Solid ⬆️
SAF Jaylinn Hawkins Weak
  • Huge trust issues with David Onyemata. I’d like to see a few weeks of consistency first.
  • Currently no real upside with any edge rusher option with poor performances and snap counts.
  • Jessie Bates will be the real deal all season if he happens to be on your waiver wires. Just don’t count on three turnovers every week.

5. Kansas City Chiefs @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Foyesade Oluokun – ILB
  2. Nick Bolton – ILB
  3. The Chiefs D-Line – DT/DE
  4. Josh Allan / Travon Walker – DE
  5. Andre Cisco / Rayshawn Jenkins – SAF
  6. Devin Loyd – ILB
  7. Willie Gay – ILB
POS Chiefs Strength
DE George Karlaftis Solid ⬆️
DT Derrick Nnadi OK
DT *Chris Jones Solid ⬆️
DE Michael Danna Solid ⬆️
ILB Willie Gay Solid
ILB *Nick Bolton Solid ⬆️
ILB Drue Tranquill Weak
SAF Justin Reid OK ⬆️
SAF Bryan Cook OK ⬆️
SAF Mike Edwards Weak
  • It’ll be a mayor who overachieves the most on this D-line. Even Derrick Nnadi has deep league appeal if you’re desperate.
  • That safety matchup isn’t there. However, if they can over-achieve gain this week, they’ll have our full attention.
  • Chris Jones may be a little rusty and not play much in his first week back. Over an average play, Jones can record DL1 numbers in half the snaps. Don’t sit him for just anyone, but the warning is out here.
POS. Jaguars Strength
DE Adam Gotsis Weak
DT Foley Fatukasi Weak
DT R. Robertson-Harris Weak
OLB Josh Allen Solid
ILB *Foyesade Oluokun Strong
ILB Devin Lloyd Solid
OLB Travon Walker Solid
SAF Rayshawn Jenkins Solid
SAF Andre Cisco Solid
SAF Andrew Wingard Weak
  • Devin Lloyd is on a very short leash, and likely best to avoid it until further notice, if possible.
  • Andre Cisco has a track record from last season that points to his Week 1 production as being legit going forward.
  • Allen and Walker have a bit of a tougher edge matchup but should be fine.

6. Las Vegas Raiders @ Buffalo Bills

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Robert Spillane – ILB
  2. Divine Deablo – ILB
  3. Max Crosby – DE
  4. Matt Milano – ILB
  5. Terrel Bernard – ILB
  6. Jordan Poyer – SAF
  7. Micah Hyde – SAF
POS. Raiders Strength
DE Maxx Crosby* Strong
DT Jerry Tillery Weak
DT Bilal Nichols Weak
DE C.Jones/T.Wilson OK ⬆️
ILB Divine Deablo Strong
ILB Robert Spillane Strong
ILB Luke Masterson Weak
SAF Marcus Epps OK ⬆️
SAF Tre’von Moehrig OK ⬆️
SAF Roderic Teamer Weak
  • Robert Spillane has the green dot, all the snaps, and a top-10 inside linebacker matchup in Week 2.
  • Deep Degens needs to keep an eye on Tre’von Moehrig and Marcus Epps. Understand that, at the moment, there are still trust issues.
  • The edge rusher matchup strength is well above par, but only if you’re Maxx Crosby. The other side needs to show up first.
POS. Bills Strength
DE Gregory Rousseau Weak
DT Ed Oliver OK
DT DaQuan Jones OK
DE S.Lawson/A.J.Epenesa Weak
ILB Matt Milano Solid⬆️
ILB Terrel Bernard Solid
LB/ED V.Miller/L.Floyd OK ⬆️
SAF Jordan Poyer Solid
SAF Micah Hyde Solid
SAF Taylor Rapp Weak
  • Terrel Bernard may have played 100% of the snaps, but his performance wasn’t. If he’s going to do better, it’ll likely include his tackle ratio leaning toward solos rather than assists. Either way, as long as they keep using him. He’s currently a productive by default play, and that counts in IDP.
  • Horrible rotation again this season at the edge position on top of a poor matchup strength on paper.

7. Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Roguan Smith / Patrick Queen – ILB
  2. Logan Wilson / Germaine Pratt – ILB
  3. Sam Hubbard – DE
  4. Dax Hill / Nick Scott – SAF
  5. Trey Hendrickson – DE
  6. B.J. Hill – DT
POS. Ravens Strength
DE Justin Madubuike Weak
NT Michael Pierce OK
DE B. Washington OK⬆️
OLB O.Oweh/D.Ojabo OK ⬆️
ILB *Roquan Smith Strong
ILB *Patrick Queen Strong
OLB J.Clowney/T.Bowser(O) OK ⬆️
SAF Kyle Hamilton OK ⬆️
SAF Geno Stone OK ⬆️
SAF Ar’Darius Washington OK ⬆️
  • Safety Snap Count: Marcus Williams (O/IR) 31%, Kyle Hamilton 99%, Geno Smith 78%, and Ar’Darius Washington 73%. We’d give it at least another week and see who moves where and who sticks.
  • With starter Tyus Bowser (knee) placed on the I.R. during camp, it was a pretty even rotation, with David Ojabo getting the least amount (48%). He was the only one that got a sack with a couple of tackles. So with everyone grading out well, or better, this looks like an even deeper rotation again this year when Bowser returns.
POS. Bengals Strength
DE *Sam Hubbard Solid
DT D.J. Reader OK
DT B.J. Hill Solid
DE Try Hendrickson Solid
ILB Logan Wilson Solid ⬆️
ILB Germaine Pratt Solid ⬆️
ILB A. Davis-Gaither Weak
SAF Nick Scott Solid ⬆️
SAF Dax Hill Solid ⬆️
SAF Jordan Battle Weak
  • Logan Wilson looked rough, and Germaine Pratt was underestimated by many this offseason. It may be that Wilson managers need to be a little worried if Pratt’s 89% snap count sticks.

8. Los Angeles Chargers @ Tennessee Titans

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Derwin James – ILB
  2. Jeffery Simmons – DT/DE
  3. Eric Kendricks – DT
  4. Kevin Byard – SAF
  5. Jack Gibbens / Azeez Al-Shaair – ILB
  6. Arden Key – SAF
  7. Alohi Gillman – SAF
  8. Amani Hooker (Q) / Elijah Molden – SAF
POS. Chargers Strength
DE S. Joseph-Day Weak
NT Austin Johnson Weak
DE Morgan Fox Weak
OLB Joey Bosa Solid
ILB *Eric Kendricks Solid ⬆️
ILB Kenneth Murray OK ⬆️
OLB Khalil Mack Solid
SAF *Derwin James Strong
SAF Alohi Gilman Solid
SAF J.T. Woods Weak
  • Alohi Gilman is worth monitoring.
  • Despite another year of encouraging off-season reports, Kenneth Murray doesn’t look like he’s worth monitoring.
  • The edge matchup is strong enough to get Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack on the radar this week, assuming both play way better in Week 2.
POS. Titans Strength
DE *Jeffery Simmons Strong
NT Teair Tart Weak
DE Denico Autry OK
OLB Harold Landry OK ⬆️
ILB Azeez Al-Shaair Solid
ILB Jack Gibbens Solid
OLB Arden Key Solid
SAF Amani Hooker Solid
SAF *Kevin Byard Solid ⬆️
SAF Elijah Molden Weak
  • Jack Gibbens looks like the real deal. However, we would need more than 65% of the available snaps to secure an LB1 title.
  • Give Azeez Al-Shaair time, he’ll get there.
  • Amani Hooker is the guy we have trouble trusting and is now he’s in the concussion protocol. So Elijah Molden might be an interesting season-long target.
  • Harold Landry didn’t look ready in Week 1, but playing the Chargers, which could be a jump-starting matchup.

9. Seattle Seahawks @ Detroit Lions

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Bobby Wagner – ILB
  2. Alex Anzalone – ILB
  3. Jordyn Brooks – ILB
  4. Aidan Hutchinson – DE
  5. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson – SAF
  6. Kerby Joseph – SAF
POS. Seahawks Strength

ILB *Bobby Wagner Solid ⬆️
ILB Jordyn Brooks Solid
OLB U.Nwosu / D.Hall OK ⬆️
SAF Quandre Diggs OK ⬆️
SAF Jamal Adams OK ⬆️
SAF Julian Love OK ⬆️
  • Jamal Adams has returned to practice, hence the OK ⬆️ marks in what is a solid matchup in the secondary. We’d still lean toward Julian Love if put on the spot in Week 2.
POS Detriot Lions Strength
DE *Aidan Hutchinson Solid
DT A.McNeill / B.Jones Weak
DT John Cominsky OK
DE Charles Harris OK
ILB *Alex Anzalone Solid ⬆️
ILB Derrick Barnes Solid
ILB Malcolm Rodriguez Weak
SAF C. Gardner-Johnson Solid ⬆️
SAF Kerby Joseph Solid
SAF Brian Branch OK ⬆️
  • The Lion’s ILB snap counts: Alex Anzalone was the only full-time. Derrick Barnes had 42%, Jack Campbell with 38%, and Malcolm Rodriguez had 22%.
  • Kerby Joseph was MIA in the IDP box score with 100% of the snaps. That’ll likely change.
  • Brian Branch padded his box score with an INT for a TD and only recorded 3 tackles in 68% of the snaps. That’s not safe yet.

10. New York Giants @ Arizona Cardinals

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Zaven Collins – DE
  2. Kyzer White – ILB
  3. Jason Pinnock – SAF
  4. Bobby Okereke / Micah McFadden – ILB

ILB Bobby Okereke Solid
ILB Micah McFadden Solid
OLB A.Ojulari / J.Ward OK ⬆️
SAF Jason Pinnock Solid⬆️
SAF Xavier McKinney OK ⬆️
SAF Isaiah Simmons Weak
  • Micah MicFadden, the unexpected. 75% of the snaps and produced very well while looking good doing it.
  • It’s hard to think that Isaiah Simmons won’t start seeing the field more than his 26% of the snaps in Week 1.
POS. Cardinals Strength
DE Jonathan Ledbetter Solid
DT L.J. Collier Weak
DE Carlos Watkins Solid
OLB Zaven Collins Solid ⬆️
ILB Kyzir White Solid⬆️
ILB Josh Woods Weak
OLB D.Gardeck/C.Thomas Solid
SAF Budda Baker* Solid ⬆️
SAF Jalen Thompson Solid
SAF K’Von Wallace OK ⬆️
  • Dennis Gardeck performed very well with just 39% of the snaps and should be on everyone’s radar in deep leagues.
  • The Josh Woods experiment is over as an IDP option for now.
  • As the third safety, K’Von Wallace played 70% of the snaps and five tackles and might be worth a deep look if this sticks.

ILB Dre Greenlaw Solid
ILB Oren Burks Weak
SAF Talanoa Hufanga Solid ⬆️
SAF Tashaun Gipson Sr. OK
SAF George Odum Weak
  • With Nick Bosa easing his way into playing, Drake Jackson put Collin Ferrell’s starting gig on notice. That performance will be really tough to repeat or expect in Week 2.
POS. Rams Strength
DE Aaron Donald* Strong
NT Koby Turner Weak
DE Jonah Williams OK ⬆️
OLB Michael Hoecht Solid
ILB Ernest Jones Strong
ILB Christian Rozeboom OK ⬆️
OLB Byron Young OK ⬆️
SAF Russ Yeast OK ⬆️
SAF Jordan Fuller Solid ⬆️
SAF John Johnson Weak
  • Christian Rozeboom won the LB2 job that came with 68% of the snaps in Week 1. Considering his very poor grades, that’s likely the ceiling heading into Week 2.
  • Confirmed, for now, Russ Yeast is a full-time safety by name.
  • Bryron Young looks like he has plenty of upside.

12. New York Jets @ Dallas Cowboys

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. C.J. Mosley – ILB
  2. Micah Parsons – OLB/ILB

SAF Jordan Whitehead Solid ⬆️
SAF Tony Adams OK ⬆️
SAF Adrian Amos Weak
  • Will McDonald played 19% of the snaps in Week 1.
  • We did confirm. Tony Adams is the starter next to the likely breakout candidate (as a Jet), Jordan Whitehead.
POS. Cowboys Strength
DE DeMarcus Lawrence Solid
DT O.Odighizuwa OK ⬆️
DT Neville Gallimore OK
DE Dorance Armstrong Solid
ILB L.Vander Esch Solid
ILB Damone Clark OK ⬆️
LB/ED *Micah Parsons Strong
SAF Jayron Kearse OK ⬆️
SAF Donovan Wilson (Q) OK ⬆️
SAF Malik Hooker OK ⬆️
  • All the defensive ends played an equal amount of snaps versus the Giants after dominating. Listed are your starters but not necessarily our snap count leaders.
  • The defensive secondary was no better than clarifying backups. On top of the idea, they’ll be busy with Aron Rodgers down and the Dallas defensive putting on a show in Week 1.
  • Damone Clark is worth noting in deeper formats.

13. Washington Commanders @ Denver Broncos

Top Match-Up IDP Rankings

  1. Alex Singleton – ILB
  2. Josey Jewell – ILB
  3. Jonathan Allen – DT
  4. Kamren Curl – SAF

ILB Khaleke Hudson Weak
SAF Kamren Curl Solid ⬆️
SAF Darrick Forrest Solid
SAF Percy Butler Weak
  • Chase Young being out has James Smith-Williams and Casey Toohill on the field like normal. Notably, Smith-Williams might have taken a step. It also might be something to monitor for deeper leagues.
  • Cody Barton Clearly is the team’s ILB1 via the snap counts. The PFF take, Cody Barton (100% snaps), scored poorly, and Davis (65%) was above par.
POS. Broncos Strength
DT Zach Allen Solid
DT Jonathan Harris Weak
DT D.J. Jones OK
OLB J.Cooper / F.Clark OK ⬆️
ILB *Alex Singleton Solid ⬆️
ILB Josey Jewell Solid ⬆️
OLB Randy Gregory OK ⬆️
SAF Justin Simmons Solid
SAF Kareem Jackson Solid
SAF Caden Sterns Weak
  • Frank Clark didn’t play nearly as much as Jonathon Cooper.
  • As expected with his raise this past offseason. Alex Singleton was up to 90% of the snaps available after averaging around 70% in 2022.
  • Zach Allen is the only (one) DL option at this time, which has been the trend for Denver for a very long time. And despite the positive matchup on paper in Week 2.

  • Jeremy Chin was the third safety with 73% of the snaps. All three together recorded about eight tackles as a unit in Week 1. Although this is a really solid matchup, who do you risk playing? Pass.
  • Brian Burns has a tougher matchup on paper but should still manage his 2022 average per game.
