Last season the Patriots were 8-9, suffering from some questionable coaching from coordinators and slight regression from Mac Jones. Belichick deserves some blame too though as he often makes rash decisions. Nonetheless, they have significant talent in their defense, specifically Matthew Judon. In addition, Rhamondre Stevenson showed immense promise last season and should repeat this.

The truth is starting to set in that Belichick needs Brady badly as his record without him is under .500. However, their first draft pick Christian Gonzalez could help lead them to wins, as well as, hopefully, Juju the TikToker. According to Boston Capper though, there really is not much to look forward to, but in the past 21 years, the Patriots have only gone under their win total 6 times.
One troubling stat is that with Mac Jones under center, the Patriots have yet to win a game when the other team scores more than 24 points.

Somehow, the Patriots have the hardest schedule according to win totals. The quarterbacks they are playing will give them trouble because of the big names and because of their running ability. They are hit with this right away when Jalen Hurts comes to Foxborough Week 1. The week after will be tough because the Patriots have yet to beat Tua, but they do get him at home here. As they move through the first half of their schedule it is not easy to find any definite wins, except maybe the Raiders on the road and the Colts in Germany.
At the end of the year they have a lot of prime time games, but the season may be out of reach at this point.
