SGPN FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS HERE

Now, let’s discuss some players that have been moving up or down our boards over the past week.

Chuba Hubbard (RB) Carolina Panthers

Injuries can drastically alter team depth charts throughout the course of a season. Unfortunately, Carolina had to discover that the hard way through the first three weeks. Christian McCaffrey entered the season as the starting running back and the consensus number one overall fantasy football player. Through two weeks, McCaffrey looked as good as advertised as he recorded 170 rushing yards and 154 receiving yards. However, he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3 that will keep him sidelined for a few weeks.

In Christian McCaffrey’s absence, Chuba Hubbard is the new starting running back which will naturally result in more volume. Last week, Hubbard had 11 carries for 52 rushing yards and three receptions for 27 receiving yards as he was heavily involved within the offense. If Hubbard can stay healthy, then he should continue to increase his fantasy football stock over the next month and have him climbing the fantasy rankings in Week 4.

Allen Robinson (WR) Chicago Bears

After having consecutive seasons with at least 1,100 receiving yards, people expected Allen Robinson to dominate in 2021. However, Robinson has been a non-factor up to this point as he has recorded ten receptions for 86 receiving yards. A huge reason for Robinson’s struggles has been Chicago’s lackluster quarterback play which should not be improving anytime soon. Things managed to get even worse during Justin Field’s first career start at quarterback last week. In that game, Fields only completed six passes for 68 passing yards as Chicago failed to score a touchdown.

Now, Chicago has no idea who is going to start at quarterback for the Week 4 matchup against Detroit. To make matters worse, all three options are below average so Robinson will have an underwhelming quarterback regardless of who gets the starting nod. As a result, it is tough to see Robinson bouncing back anytime soon.

Kirk Cousins (QB) Minnesota Vikings

After three weeks, Kirk Cousins is on pace to have arguably the best season of his career. Cousins has thrown for 918 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns while failing to throw a single interception. With Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson on the outside, Minnesota’s passing attack has been a nightmare for opposing defenses to stop and that should not change barring injury. Cousins has been making fantastic decisions with the football and he needs to be used more in starting lineups.

Entering Week 4, Cousins has the sixth-most fantasy points for quarterbacks as he has been elite on a regular basis. While a bit of regression can be expected, his floor is still being a slightly above average fantasy football quarterback which is a plus. However, there is still a distinct possibility that Cousins can maintain this MVP-level pace for the rest of the season so the upside is definitely present.
