Super Bowl 55 Player Prop Bets

The biggest game of the NFL season is just days away! Super Bowl 55 will feature the baby goat Patrick Mahomes versus the GOAT Tom Brady. The Super Bowl is entertaining as is with the pre-game festivities, halftime show, and the game itself. However, for bettors, there are more than 40 betting options with game props, player props, and fun props such as the length of the national anthem, the color of the Gatorade bath, and which song will be performed first by the artist for the halftime show.

In this post, I will give you Super Bowl Player Props to bet on and a couple of game prop bets I am betting on this Super Bowl. As a result, if you have multiple outs make sure to shop around for the best possible lines out there.

Super Bowl 55 Player Prop Bets

Travis Kelce Over 8.5 Receptions (-125)

This Super Bowl Player Prop bet is certainly one of the most popular that will be bet on. However, Kelce is the #1 target on offense for Patrick Mahomes. In fact, Kelce accounts for 37% of Mahomes completion thus far this season. Furthermore, since Week eight Kelce has eight or more receptions in every game except one game.

In addition, in that same span, Kelce has double-digit targets in all games except for one. In a big game like this, I expect Mahomes to continue to target Kelce and quickly get the ball out of his hands while having to deal with the Buccaneers pass rush.

Cameron Brate Over 3.5 Receptions (-105)

Like Kelce, Brate emerged as a top target for Brady. In fact, in the three playoff games the Buccaneers played in this season, Brate has combined for 11 catches on 16 targets including one touchdown. Furthermore, Gronk’s numbers are down in the playoffs. In fact, in the three playoff games, Gronk has two catches on only seven targets. Lastly, I fully expect Brady to continue to target Brate in the Super Bowl making this a value bet.

Total Penalty Yards for Buccaneers Under 43.5 (-110)

First, we do not see many penalties called in the Super Bowl. The fans do not want to see a flag fest. Furthermore, Tampa Bay Buccaneers averaged five penalties per game which ranked 4th best in the league. In addition, Bucs averaged 42 penalty yards per game this season. Over their three playoff games, the Bucs have exceeded the number only once.

In the NFC Wild Card game versus the Washington Football, the Bucs had 24 penalty yards and against the Packers, in the Conference Championship game, Bucs had only eight yards. Lastly, if the Buccaneers are going to win this game against the Buccaneers, they will need to play mistake-free football and not get behind the chains due to penalties.

Total Touchdowns Over 6.5 (-115)

This is one bet I did not understand the number. The current total for the game is posted at 56. Instead of playing the total, I took the touchdowns to go over 6.5. Furthermore, if there at seven touchdowns in the game that equates to 42 points not counting the extra points. If the game turns into a shootout it will fly over the posted number on touchdowns. In addition, Bucs are averaging 34 points per game since their bye week. Lastly, we know the Chiefs offense can score at all so if they behind or if the game turns into a shootout.

#DegenOnly Player Prop Bet – Scott Miller to have 120+Receiving Yards 1+Touchdown and TB to win (+7900)

There is always one player on the winning team who has a big game. I am taking Scotty Miller here to be that guy for the Bucs. Last week against the Packers Miller caught a huge touchdown pass from Brady just before halftime. It is a long shot among the Super Bowl player props. I would put too much coin on this one, but you never know!
