NFL Referee Assignments & Stats Week 17

The final week of the 2020-2021 regular season is here! It just seemed like the season started. Week 16 leans went 1-1. I was shocked to see Clete Blakeman’s game go under the total. Let me put a bow on the regular season and get into the final weeks NFL Referee Assignments & Stats Report. It is certainly interesting to keep track of the referee stats. It will be interesting to see if some of the referees who favor one side more than the other will be involved in the playoff games!

Tony Corrente

So far this season Corrente has officiated in 14 games. In those 14 games so far this season road teams are 5-9 against the spread and 10-4 to the Under averaging close to 45 points per game. Furthermore, road teams average close to 22 points per game. In addition, home teams are 9-5 against the spread and average close to 24 points per game. Lastly, Corrente is assigned to the NFC West showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers.

Clay Martin

Over the past few weeks, we have not seen Martin officiate a game. However, he is back in action this week. In the 12 games Martin has officiated the road teams are 9-2-1 against the spread averaging close to 33 points per game. Furthermore, the Over is 10-2 averaging 56 points per game. As a result, the Saints are in a division matchup this Sunday against the Panthers for playoff seeding. It seems fitting that Martin assigned to this game.

Brad Rogers

I have not discussed Rogers much at all this season. However, in the 11 games officiated by Rogers this season he has one of the best O/U records. As a result, the Over is 10-1 in games officiated by Rogers which average 57 points per game. Furthermore, the 57 points per game average ranks 2nd highest amongst referees, first of course is Clete Blakeman. Lastly, Rogers will officiate the AFC East divisional matchup between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets

Shawn Hochuli

So far this season three referees are not generous to the home team, and Hochuli is one of those. As a result, home teams are 3-9-1 against the spread thus far this season. Even though road teams have more penalties against them in this season that stat has not translated into wins for the home teams. Lastly, Hochuli will officiate the AFC South matchup between the Tennessee Titans and the Houston Texans.
