Deshaun Watson UNDER 265.5 Passing Yards – 105 Points

To say the Texans are far below their season expectations would be an understatement. With a 3-7 record, Houston is a couple of weeks away from total postseason elimination. This frustration has got to be double for Watson. He has turned in some fine performances against some very good opponents. In fact, from week 4 through week 7, he posted games of over 300 yards and at least 2 touchdowns in each. That streak ended with a win against the Jaguars in week 8 where he dipped down to 281 passing yards. Last week he rebounded with a 344 yard gem against the Patriots.

So how then, considering all this, is it possible for the under to hit in this prop? In almost all of these matchups, the games were tightly contested, or Watson was behind and had to throw a ton. This week they face the Lions who will not force either of these scenarios to take place. In reality, neither of these teams are likely to move the ball impressively on Thanksgiving. Factor in also that the Texans are facing a Detroit defense that is allowing 258.4 yards per game. While that puts them at the bottom of the league, it is also below the set mark.

This game will not be a shootout, nor will it likely be a blowout for the Lions. Given that, it is safe to bet that Watson will have no reason to sling the ball around much. Should this be the case, reaching the under here will net you a tidy 105 points for your Thursday Night Football Player Props on ThriveFantasy.

Duke Johnson OVER 60.5 Rushing Yards – 110 Points

Janet Jackson once asked, “What have you done for me lately?” If she were to ask Johnson that today, he’d probably answer, “not much.” To his defense, he’s had to share the backfield with David Johnson who has dominated the touches at a 2 to 1 ratio. Now that David is out with a concussion, that gives Duke the role of lead back. Even with C.J. Prosise lurking behind him, the last Johnson standing is in a primed position to capitalize on his opportunity.

The Texans are matchup this week against one of the bottom three defenses against the run. The Lions are giving up almost 140 rushing yards per game. This bodes well for anyone carrying the ball for Houston, and hopefully it’s Johnson for most of them. As was stated before, his overall numbers may not support this prop, but his circumstances on Thanksgiving are favorable for him to reach this goal.

Alex Smith UNDER 0.5 Interceptions – 125 Points

This analysis can be summed up in one stat. The Dallas Cowboys only have 3 defensive interceptions all season. Not much else needs to be said past that to justify this prop. But, maybe a little more reassurance as to why you should trust Smith is in order. I’ll help you see why he’s a good fit for one of your Thursday Night Football Player Props on ThriveFantasy.

It’s true he had a rough outing against the Giants where he was roughed up for 3 picks. Outside of that, Smith has been relatively careful with the ball over his last two games. He was turnover free against the Lions. He also managed to only put the ball in the opponent’s hands once against the Bengals. Of course to be fair, that was a Cincinnati defense with three times as many interceptions than Dallas. There is very little to fear from this Cowboys’ secondary and for that reason alone, this prop should hit.

JuJu Smith-Schuster OVER 5.5 Reception – 110 Points

The Steelers receiving corps is loaded this season. Between Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, and Chase Claypool, Big Ben has more weapons at his disposal than he’s had in years. And while the youngsters are making headlines, Smith-Schuster still plays a large part. He comes into “Thanksgiving,” the team leader with 58 receptions; that’s an average of 5.8 per game. In their last meeting in October, he grabbed 7 of his 8 targets.

Look for a fired up Smith-Schuster to want, and get, the ball quite a bit on Thanksgiving Sunday. He and the undefeated Steelers are not happy about having to miss their Primetime date with Baltimore on Thursday. I’m guessing Roethlisberger will want to light up the sky against the Ravens. Team JuJu will be one of the major beneficiaries of that show. When that happens, this prop will be one you’ll be happy you had.
