NFL Week 6 Survivor Pool Picks

NFL Week 6 Survivor Pool Picks

Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. If you recall, I rolled the dice with the Cowboys as my survivor pick last week. If Dak Prescott doesn’t get hurt, I probably don’t sweat it out as much as I had to. Either way, all I know is that we are moving on full steam ahead with NFL Week 6 Survivor pool picks.

If you happened to have the Chiefs or 49ers last week, welp…we’ll see you next year. Looking at the slate of games coming up, week six could be tough. Let’s do this.

NFL Week 6 Survivor Pool Picks

Indianapolis Colts (– 7.5 vs Cincinnati Bengals)

The Colts are a solid team that will look to bounce back from their tough loss to the Browns last week. The Bengals struggled mightily against the Ravens defense and will have their hands full against Indy.

With the exception of this past week, the Bengals have at least been scrappy (beat the Jags, tied the Eagles, and lost one possession games against the Chargers and Browns) this year.

The Colts sandwiched wins against the Vikings, Jets, and Bears between the loss this past week and the season opener L vs Jax. Apparently, they can beat bad teams and should beat another in Cincy.

Baltimore Ravens (-7.5 @ Philadelphia Eagles)

The Baltimore D certainly looked the part against the Bengals last week, but it’s obvious that Lamar Jackson is banged up.  Philly lost a tough one to the Steelers to drop their record to 1-3-1. However, I expect this matchup to be closer than the spread would indicate. I’d look elsewhere this week.

New England Patriots (NL vs Denver Broncos)

Covid delayed this game from week 5 to this coming Sunday. The Broncos are riddled with injuries and Belichick’s defense will be licking their chops for a matchup against Brett Rypien.  Expect an ugly game and a Pats win.

My hesitation would be the many question marks surrounding this game. Namely, is Cam Newton going to play? I’m not backing a team with Jarrett Stidham or Brian Hoyer starting at QB. Wait until later in the week to see who’s under center before making a decision.

Green Bay Packers (-1.5 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

We usually don’t include games with such a small spread on this list, but there’s only so many options this week. The undefeated Packers come off their bye with a healthy DeVante Adams and should be ready to roll.

The Bucs are 3-2 but have mostly feasted on average to bad teams. They dropped the Thursday night game to the Bears and will be looking for a rebound to stay north of .500. The Packers are the better team and should win but I’m not betting the farm on it.  Plus, I’d like to save Green Bay for a later week.

Miami Dolphins (-8 vs New York Jets)

Whoa, where did this 43-17 Miami beatdown of the San Fran come from? I’m going to ride to hot hand of Ryan Fitzpatrick and go with the Dolphins this week. The ‘Fins lost three close games to good teams (Bills, Seahawks, Patriots) and have beat the Jags and 49ers. I’m a Brian Flores fan, the offense has playmakers across the field, and the defense is causing turnovers (six in the past three weeks).

Plus, the Jets are on auto-fade every week. They are 0-5 and haven’t ended a game within a TD of their opponents. They are the worst team in the league. We know the Fitzmagic will run out at some point, but it won’t be this week.  Go Miami!

Teams already taken this year: KC, AZ, Indy, Baltimore, Dallas
