Toronto Raptors vs Milwaukee Bucks

Start Time – 8:00 PM ET

There have been quite a few surprises to kick off the NBA season, but the Milwaukee Bucks being terrible at basketball is not one of them. The Bucks have limped out of the gate to a 1-7 record, and that is to be expected.

Kawhi Leonard already sitting out more games than he’s played for the Toronto Raptors is also no surprise. Even with Leonard out, my line for Friday is Toronto -12.5, so the Raps should cover.

Best Bet: Toronto -7.5 (-105)

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Memphis Grizzlies

Start Time – 8:00 PM ET

O ye of little faith – don’t doubt the Memphis Grizzlies. The young upstart Grizz are actually a good basketball team, full stop. Memphis’s 6-2 record is tied for fourth-best in the NBA, and advanced stats rank them fifth in the conference, so this is not a fluke.

And, most importantly, Memphis isn’t missing almost all of their key players due to injury like the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder will be tomorrow. My line is Memphis -19.5 (skewed by the small sample size), so I’ll take the Grizzlies plus the points.
