Week 8 of NFL action is here, and the injury list isn’t getting any shorter. Stars across the league, players who are important for both your fantasy football lineups and betting action, are beat up. It’s time to dive into this week’s NFL injury report and see who is playing, who isn’t, and how it’ll affect your fantasy football and betting. There is no international game this week, so no need to wake up in a panic from your Halloween candy hangover to get your lineups set.
Green Light: Cleared to Play
Ravens QB – Lamar Jackson (ankle)
Cardinals RB – Jeremiyah Love (ankle)
Vikings RB – Aaron Jones (knee)
Eagles RB – Saquon Barkley (hamstring, back)
Bengals WR – Jamar Chase (ankle)
Chiefs WR – Rashee Rice (hamstring)
Colts TE – Tyler Warren (groin)
Good news for an exciting Ravens and Bills game as Lamar Jackson has been cleared to play. He’s an auto start, and so is everyone around him. Jeremiyah Love will be back in action against a Dallas defense he should be able to get some work against. Aaron Jones also got the green light; he’ll be splitting time with Jordan Mason, but they do play the Lions in a plus matchup. Saquon Barkley already getting the go-ahead is a great sign for Sunday Night Football. Jamar Chase is always a must-start when he’s in. Rashee Rice brings much-needed help back to the Kansas City offense. Tyler Warren is finally back after missing two weeks.
Yellow Light: Questionable
Jets RB – Breece Hall (quad)
Patriots WR – AJ Brown (ankle, knee)
Patriots RB – TreVeyon Henderson (illness)
Bills WR – DJ Moore (shoulder)
Bills TE – Dalton Kincaid (chest)
Rams TE – Colby Parkinson (rib)
Bears RB – Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe)
Bears TE – Colston Loveland (neck)
Cowboys WR – George Pickens (shoulder/hamstring)
Broncos WR – Jaylen Waddle (chest)
Jaguars WR – Jakobi Meyers (hamstring/ankle)
Giants RB – Cam Skattebo (hamstring)
Seahawks WR – Rasheed Shaheed (knee)
Seahawks RB – Zach Charbonnet (knee)
Seahawks RB – Jadarian Price (chest)
Breece Hall is once again a game-time decision for the Jets. If he’s a go, I’d play him unless you have a drastically better option. If he’s out, Braelon Allen is a must-start. AJ Brown isn’t trending positively for the Patriots after missing practice Thursday and Friday. His teammate Henderson is sick with trade block flu. He’s too hard to start right now unless you have no good options. If DJ Moore plays, he carries the same boom-or-bust profile he does any other week. That game should be a shootout. Same goes for Moore’s teammate Dalton Kincaid.
Parkinson is an option in deeper leagues as the Rams struggle with pass-catching options right now. Kyle Monangai seems unlikely to play, leaving DeAndre Swift with the bulk of the work against Seattle. Loveland appears to be a game-time decision; if he’s in, he’s worth the play. George Pickens is expected to play; he’s always a start if he’s in. Jaylen Waddle should be a go against the Chiefs. Jakobi Meyers is also expected to play against Indianapolis.
Cam Skattebo should be good to go; with Tyrone Tracy hitting IR, he stands firmly atop the depth chart. Rasheed Shaheed appears to be trending the wrong way towards playing against the Bears. Zach Charbonnet’s return is still up in the air, but Jadarian Price looks like he could be back.
Red Light: Out
Eagles WR – DeVonta Smith (hamstring)
Eagles WR – Dontayvion Wicks (ankle)
Titans WR – Carnell Tate (shoulder)
Titans RB – Tyjae Spears (knee)
Falcons RB – Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring)
Broncos RB – RJ Harvey (knee)
Buccaneers WR – Emeka Egbuka (foot)
Saquon is in, but the Eagles receivers are down and out. Both Smith and Wicks will miss against the Commanders. Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate is going to sit out, which is a smart move for the team ahead of their bye week. Tyjae Spears will join him. That’s a good sign for Tony Pollard, who should get most of the work again. Same in Atlanta for Bijan Robinson, as Brian Robinson will once again miss. RJ Harvey won’t play against the Chiefs. This is great news if you have rookie Jonah Coleman. Emeka Egbuka will miss Sunday’s matchup for the Buccaneers.
