NFL Injury Report: Betting & Fantasy Football — Week 7

The injury bug in the NFL continues to spread like wildfire. For your fantasy football teams, between that and bye weeks, I know I’m making some disgusting starts this weekend. Let’s take a look around the NFL injury report and how it will affect your betting & fantasy football for NFL Week 7.

MYBOOKIE BONUS

Green Light: Cleared to Play

Cowboys WR – George Pickens (shoulder)
Vikings WR – Justin Jefferson (ankle)
Vikings WR – Jordan Addison (hamstring)
Vikings TE – TJ Hockenson (concussion)
Buccaneers QB – Baker Mayfield (thumb)
Buccaneers RB – Bucky Irving (illness)
Browns RB – Quinshon Judkins (ankle)
49ers WR – Christian Kirk (calf)
Ravens WR – Rashod Bateman (shoulder)

Pickens has received the green light after dealing with a shoulder injury this week. He’s been inconsistent, but he’s a must-play. All good news for the Vikings as their three star pass catchers have been cleared to play. Jefferson, you always jam into lineups; Addison and Hockenson are there if you need them. Big weapons for Kyler Murray to have as favorites here against the Colts. Baker is back for Tampa, but I’m thinking the Buccaneers will have a slow start on Sunday.

Quinshon Judkins is back, and just in time. Expect him to absolutely eat against this terrible Titans team. Yes, Christian Kirk is on the 49ers. He’s a tough fantasy play, but a helpful tool for a beat-up team. Bateman will be a solid tool for whichever Ravens quarterback is under center.

Yellow Light: Questionable

Ravens QB- Lamar Jackson (ankle)
Rams WR – Puka Nacua (calf)
Eagles WR – DeVonta Smith (hamstring)
Eagles WR – Dontayvian Wicks (ankle)
Eagles TE – Dallas Goedert (knee)
Eagles RB – Saquon Barkley (hamstring)
Jets RB – Breece Hall (quad)
Vikings RB – Jordan Mason (thumb)
Dolphins WR – Caleb Douglas (ankle)
Dolphins RB – Jaylen Wright (foot)
Broncos RB – Jonah Coleman (ankle)
Steelers RB – Rico Dowdle (knee)
Raiders RB – Mike Washington (foot, back)

Has anyone not played in more games where they were questionable than Lamar Jackson? If he’s in, he’s a fine play, but I’d expect him to miss. Puka appears to be a game-time decision, and it’s an afternoon game. I’d be prepared for him not to play. If he plays, you play him. The Eagles are a beat-up team, and they play on Monday Night Football. Barkley looks set to play, and he’s probably the only one I’d count on.

I’d expect Breece Hall to be back this week. If he is, the Miami Dolphins are a juicy matchup to come back to. Jordan Mason looks like he’ll be back off the IR. It’s unfortunate for the Aaron Jones managers, but I’d expect Jones to still be a fine play. Both Dolphins are expected to play, but I’d consider both very desperate plays. Coleman looks to be activated off the IR; I’d expect him to be eased back in. Rico is back to questionable; stock up on Jaylen Warren here. With Mike Washington either banged up or not playing, it could mean more work for Ashton Jeanty this week.

Red Light: Out

Cardinals RB – Jeremiyah Love (ankle)
Falcons RB – Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring)
Buccaneers WR – Emeka Egbuka (concussion, foot)
Colts TE – Tyler Warren (groin)
49ers WR – Mike Evans (whole body)
49ers WR – Deebo Samuel (hamstring)
Texans RB – David Montgomery (groin)
Seahawks RB – Zach Charbonnet (knee)
Chiefs WR – Rashee Rice (hamstring, knee)

Jeremiyah Love will once again miss for the Cardinals this week. Tyler Allgier hasn’t done well in his place; I would avoid him if possible. Brian Robinson Jr. being out likely means more work for Bijan Robinson. Egbuka being out when Baker likely comes back is a tough break for Tampa, who faces a tough Panthers team. Another reason I’m betting Carolina this week. Tyler Warren will miss another week after that late addition last week of a groin injury.

There isn’t enough room in this article to list every Mike Evans injury, so I didn’t even try. He’ll miss, along with Samuel, as the 49ers head into a much-needed bye next week. George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey are the ones to watch this week. Woody Marks gets a bump with Montgomery missing against a not-great Giants team. Seattle’s Zach Charbonnet isn’t quite ready to return from his ACL injury. They’ll wait another week on him. With Rice out, it’ll be a big night for Kenneth Walker and Travis Kelce.
