Online Slots Highlight: UFC Gold Blitz Extreme
What is UFC Gold Blitz Extreme?
UFC Gold Blitz Extreme is an officially licensed slot game through BetMGM. They use popular images and logos from the Octagon to make fight fans feel right at home while playing slots. The game not only features popular graphics from UFC broadcasts, but it also features famous fighters as well. The game features the likes of former champions Jon Jones, Amanda Nunes, Conor McGregor and Weile Zhang – capturing favorites from four different continents.
Outside of the MMA-themed graphics, the slot machine features very simple mechanics with limited side games.
RTP and Volatility
The return to player (RTP) for this slot is listed at 94%. That comes in just a touch below the industry standard, which is usually a bit closer to 96%. However, it is worth mentioning that BetMGM does have different RTP rates for different jurisdictions, so be sure to check before playing.
The volatility rating for this slot game is listed as a ‘5’ on BetMGM’s scale. That is close to the top of the ratings. Outside ratings of the game are similar in their assessment. Most consider the game to be high to very high in terms of the volatility. With the RTP rate being a touch lower, this means that the game may seem slow with returns with the very occasional big payout.
Gameplay and Winning Combinations
The gameplay of this slot is fairly standard in their approach. There are not any side games or additional wheels that appear. Instead it sticks with a four row and six wheel setup – providing 4096 paylines. There are some additional mechanics that bring more intrigue to the player, but they don’t take much to learn.
The main feature of the game is the gold blitz cash collection. Gold cash symbols pop up on the screen and display prize values. Those prize values can be collected when a “Blitz Collect” symbol pops up on either the fifth or the six wheel. Through similar mechanics, there are also some possibilities to win some free spins.
In terms of the jackpot, there is no progressive in this game – opting instead for fixed tiers. There are four tiers of jackpots, which max out at 5,500x your bet amount.
Final Assessment
UFC Gold Blitz Extreme is a good game for those who don’t like a lot of frills when playing online slots. If pulling the level (or hitting the button) is all you need, their less convoluted style is likely for you. It also caters more to those jackpot chasers rather than the casual players who prefer a quick session. The added comfort of seeing some of your favorite fighters can bring more interest, but the integration of MMA themes is limited.
