MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 11th
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers
First Pitch – 8:00 pm EST
American Family Field – Milwaukee, WI
Broadcast – Fox
The pitching matchup in this one makes it all too easy to get in on a NRFI play. Game 1 will feature a pitcher who won the Cy Young in both 2024 and 2025, and a pitcher about to win one in 2026.
Tarik Skubal has looked good in the postseason thus far. He tossed 6.0 innings with just one earned run against Atlanta. Even if you want to discount that with the Braves hitting so poorly, Skubal still put up a 2.25 ERA in the month of September. With the Brewers not scoring a first inning run in the whole series with the Padres, there’s no reason to think they will here.
Jacob Misiorowski entered the playoffs with more than 18.0 straight innings of scoreless baseball. He gave up a couple of runs in his first start of the playoffs, but did give us a clean first frame prior to that. The Dodgers are averaging just 3.50 runs per game in the playoffs so far, which doesn’t bode well for them. They struggled against Misiorowski earlier in the season as well, and I expect them to again here.
