College Football Pick Of The Day (September 24th): NCAA Week 4 Moneyline Pick
For today’s Week 4 College Football pick of the day, I’m looking to Clemson at California. This line feels off to me. I know Clemson still carries the brand and most models like them around 60 percent. However, the number is so close, sitting at Cal -106. That’s not really a dog when it’s not plus money.
Clemson is 2-1 and 1-2 ATS. They got smoked 51-10 at LSU, then beat Georgia Southern 22-7 and North Carolina 28-20 at home. They’re averaging 20 points per game and converting third downs at 20%, which is last in the country. That’s not an offense I want to back at 10:30 PM ET after they just played Saturday night with a weather delay.
California is also 2-1 and 1-2 ATS. They lost to UCLA at home, then went on the road and beat Syracuse 21-18 before beating up Wagner. Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has 866 passing yards and seven touchdowns. Cal is averaging 321.7 passing yards per game. That could end up being a real problem for a Clemson secondary that’s missing starting nickle Corian Gipson and their co-starting defensive tackle. Give me Cal to win the game at -106. You only pay the juice if you lose.
