Football Pick of the Day (September 12th): NFL Week 1 Spread Pick
Atlanta Falcons vs Pittsburgh Steelers
1:00pm – Sunday – September 12th
After pushing on our first NFL spread bet of the year on Wednesday, we’re back at it for the first Sunday of the season. Part of the reason why is that we just can’t fade Atlanta enough right now.
The Falcons really looked at their quarterback room and said ‘Tua Tagovailoa is our best option’. Then they watched him predictably go out with an injury. With Michael Penix also out for the game, they’ll fall to longtime Cowboys backup Cooper Rush to lead them on the field. While that’s already bad, Rush then experienced back spasms during practice Friday. I don’t care how good Bijan Robinson is, using a banged up back up is no way to start the year.
It’s especially a bad spot when you consider what the Steelers have on the defensive side of the ball. The Steelers were above average on the run last year and fourth-year Keeanu Benton seemed to make some big strides in that department last year. If they can just keep Bijan Robinson away from a sensational day, they should win this by a score without much worry.
NFL Prop Pick (September 12th): Pittsburgh Steelers -6.5 (-108)
