San Diego State vs UCLA Prediction & Picks: College Football Week 2

San Diego State heads to the Rose Bowl as an 11.5-point road underdog, with the total sitting at 53.5. The guys broke this one down on the College Football Picks Week 2 show, and it did not take them long to line up on the same side.

San Diego State vs UCLA Odds

UCLA is favored by 11.5 (UCLA -11.5) with the total set at 53.5. San Diego State sat at +340 on the moneyline for anyone who wanted a swing at the dog.

Our Picks

It was a clean sweep. Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric), Sean Green (@SeanTGreen), and Colby Dant (@thecolbyd) all laid the points with UCLA -11.5.

Colby was the loudest voice on it: “I’m all over UCLA.” He admitted he was dumb to fade Bob Chesney last week and called that win over Cal a super impressive coaching job, pointing to halftime adjustments that attacked every weakness Cal had shown in the first half. He tabbed Chesney as one of the best coaches in college football, and while he flagged a possible letdown spot after the rivalry win, he figured UCLA would be up for the home opener. His words: “lay it with UCLA. I think this one gets out of hand.”

Ryan and Sean were right there with him. The read on the show was that UCLA looked solid last week and might blow the doors off, with Chesney getting his flowers as a good coach. There was some hedging on San Diego State because nobody was sure how good their Week 1 opponent, Portland State, actually was.
