Syracuse opened as a 1.5-point dog and got bet all the way up to a 3.5-point favorite, and the guys tied most of that swing to injury talk around Cal’s quarterback (JKS on the show), who looked banged up and might have rolled an ankle or gotten cleated the week before. Colby Dant (@thecolbyd) said he expects JKS to play but figures he was affected by the previous week’s game.
Cal reads as a flawed team to them, with issues on defense, play-calling they didn’t love, and a brutal travel spot coming off a rivalry loss and a long flight to Syracuse, New York. The one thing giving them pause is the Syracuse look-ahead to a Thursday night trip to Pittsburgh, which is why nobody sounded thrilled. “I’ll lay it. I don’t like that one at all.
