Standard Scoring Fantasy Football Draft Cheat Sheet: Printable PDF, Spreadsheet, and More (Updated August 30, 2026)

Football is a game of tradition. If you need some fancy rules or other gizmos to get you interested in football, might we recommend trying out baseball? While other leagues and formats try to inflate scoring at a faster rate than inflation, standard scoring leagues remain the OG of fantasy football. The tradition on the field should be mirrored on the virtual gridiron. Running backs are kings and should be valued as such. How many good backs are there actually in the NFL right now? So why shouldn’t we value great players at that position more than others?

Directly from the brain of our own FantasyPro, Adam Pelletier, these rankings are Degen-certified to help you DOMINATE your league this season.

HOW TO USE THE CHEAT SHEET

As you dive into our printable standard scoring cheat sheet, the first and most critical feature is the tiers. Players are ranked within the tiers, but the tiers themselves are the most important feature of the cheat sheet. Tiers are not created equal, and players within each tier are not necessarily equal either.

You should try to pick all players within a single tier before exploring the tier, but some differentiation around valuation may have your league mates missing on players they should be scooping up. Pay attention to misevaluation by your league mates and be ready to capitalize on their foolishness.

TIER 1 & TIER 2

There are three possible running backs to take in standard scoring formats this fantasy season. Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson are consensus choices at the 1.01. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t bring up James Cook. Cook is rumored to be even more involved in the Bills offense this season, and rumblings of a potential 1,000-yard rushing and 1,000-yard receiving year are growing. Sure, taking him at 1.01 is a risk, but the upside if he hits will be enormous, and you’ll look like a genius for taking that big swing.

Heading into Tier 2, there are five backs to target, and if you are picking at the back of the first round, you may be able to lock down two of the top eight running backs for the season. With a young riser in Omarion Hampton and the old reliable option of Derrick Henry, there isn’t a whole lot that could slow your squad down.

TIER 3 AND BEYOND

After the top eight backs and the first two tiers, running backs start to become more of a risk. You will need to try and draft them, but the risk grows the further down you go. Several backs in Tiers 3 & 4 play on terrible teams (Breece Hall and De’Von Achane). Add in the backs in time shares (Kyren Williams and Travis Etienne), and the options get slim. Sure, you could risk it all on Christian McCaffrey, but he seems primed for regression.

If you do not get a back from Tier 1 or 2, you need to leave the next rounds with at least three. There are too many unknowns in this stretch to risk it. Without a strong running back in standard scoring, you will be in for a long year. Do not hesitate! Draft a back early. Draft a back often. And be sure to check back for updates on any injury news!
