Being a Buffalo Bills fan seems exhausting. Every season brings Josh Allen, double-digit wins and legitimate Super Bowl dreams. Then January arrives carrying a folding table labeled EMOTIONAL DAMAGE.

Footballguys’ Jeff Bell joins Smalls to break down whether 2026 finally ends differently.

Buffalo enters a new era with Joe Brady replacing Sean McDermott, while Josh Allen gets a major new weapon in D.J. Moore. Jeff thinks Moore can open up an offense that desperately needed someone capable of consistently threatening defenses downfield. That could also mean bigger opportunities for Khalil Shakir and sleeper Josh Palmer.

Then there’s James Cook.

Jeff currently ranks Cook as his RB3 in fantasy football. His reasoning is almost annoyingly simple: Cook already produced elite numbers, and even one additional target per game could push him into the same fantasy neighborhood as Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs.

The betting conversation gets even more interesting. Buffalo opens with a brutal five-game stretch, so Jeff’s favorite Bills strategy might actually be patience. If they start 2-3 and everyone begins screaming about Joe Brady ruining football, their AFC, Super Bowl and Josh Allen MVP prices could suddenly become much friendlier.
