Another round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs is in the books, and we’re left with our final four teams battling it out in the conference finals. Other than the Montreal Canadiens, things have pretty much gone to chalk. And my futures bets from before the second round are looking good as well (cashed Colorado to beat Minnesota 4-1; Colorado vs Carolina Stanley Cup Finals future still alive; Frederik Anderson to win Conn Smythe has gone from +1100 to +400). Here are your NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs futures before the conference finals kick off on Wednesday.
NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Futures Before Conference Finals
The futures I mentioned in the intro are all worthy of doubling down on, but rather than just repeating them, here are a few other plays worth a sprinkle.
Vegas Golden Knights to win Stanley Cup (+600)
Do I think the Vegas Golden Knights are going to win the Stanley Cup this season? Probably not, but they are one of the final four teams left standing. And this bet is a value play.
Getting +600 odds on the Golden Knights to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup this season is the equivalent of them having a 14% chance at winning. Advanced stat sites have them more in the 22% probabilty range of winning, so we’re getting good value on this line. Plus, Vegas’s lineup is packed with former Stanley Cup winners and high-level talent, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to see them be the last team remaining in June.
Carolina Hurricanes vs Montreal Canadiens Under 5.5 Games (+115)
The Carolina Hurricanes have been untouchable so far on their playoff run, sweeping the Ottawa Senators and then the Philadelphia Flyers to get to the Eastern Conference Finals. And the games haven’t even been close, as they’ve outscored the opposition 24-10 through eight games.
The Montreal Canadiens have to be thrilled to have made it to this point, after needing seven games to dispatch both the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Buffalo Sabres. I don’t see the Habs posing much of a challenge to the Hurricanes, and I expect the series to be a quick one. Or, less likely, the Hurricanes don’t pose a challenge to the Habs and get rolled over. Either or.
Pavel Dorofeyev Series Leading Goalscorer (+450)
I’m really liking the number we’re getting on the Vegas Golden Knights’ Pavel Dorofeyev to lead the Western Conference Finals in scoring. Even with the league’s leading scorer, the Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon, participating in the series.
The 25-year-old Dorofeyev led the Golden Knights in goals this season with a career-best 37 markers. And he has picked up the pace in the playoffs, leading the league with nine goals in 12 games. He’s also second on the team in shots on net with 32. I see him continuing his heater against the Avs.
