Daily NBA Player Props – May 5th
Chet Holmgren – Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (+109)
Fresh off the big hit on Castle’s three-pointers, we have another plus-money play from beyond the arc. Chet Holmgren lit up the Suns when he decided to shoot from deep. He had multiple three-pointers in three of the four games in the series. More importantly, he had at least five attempts in three of the four games as well. The Lakers are not a flawless team from beyond the arc, and that should mean that Holmgren should find his two hits.
Austin Reaves – Under 20.5 Points (-108)
While Reaves came back on to the scene in the latter parts of the last series, he hasn’t shown the offensive numbers to trust this. He’s putting up just 18.5 points per game in the postseason. Furthermore that was against Houston, who is quite a bit worse than the Thunder on defense. With the first game setting the tone, I expect LeBron to take more shots anyways, which should leave Reaves out in the cold.
Jarrett Allen – Over 11.5 Points (-109)
Jarrett Allen looked like a man possessed when the Cavaliers managed to close out their last series. While I don’t expect him to put up 22-19 stat lines for the entire playoffs, this seems like too much of a dropoff. It wasn’t just one game for Allen that gives us confidence either. He’s now putting up 18.0 points per game over the last two and has hit the over in both of them.
