Daily NBA Player Props – May 1st
Desmond Bane – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+112)
This is a prop that I can’t believe is listed where it is. After the first two games of this series, Bane had amassed just three from beyond the arc. They weren’t really getting him the looks he needed to have an impact on the offensive side. Since then, he’s had 9.7 attempts per game and has made 5.3 per game. That number is over double what we’re looking for here. He should get at least nine attempts here and I like his chances to shoot at least 33%.
Ausar Thompson – Over 7.5 Rebounds (-106)
Thompson’s rebounding prop has finally gone up by one after the run he’s been on. However, that’s still not a lot considering he’s been on a run with at least eight in each of his last four games. He had seven rebounds in the other one, which keep us feeling good about this line. Not to mention, he rattled off 15 rebounds last game and moved his series average up to 9.4 rebounds per game. He should be active in the paint again on Friday.
Jakob Poeltl – Over 5.5 Rebounds (+102)
Speaking of guys who have been solid in the paint late in the series, Jakob Poeltl is doing just fine against the tough bigs in Cleveland. He had pulled down at least six in four of the five games in this series. Not only that, but he’s coming off his best game yet with nine boards and 14 points in a Game 5 loss. He seems to be earning more time on the court, which should help this go over.
