Daily NBA Player Props – April 29th
Ausar Thompson – Over 6.5 Rebounds (+114)
I don’t know how we keep getting lines like this for Thompson in the rebounds, but we’ll take them while we can. He had a much lower average during the regular season, but has been all over the boards in the postseason. He’s not once come in under this mark in the first four games of the series and is averaging 8.0 rebounds per game in that span. He’s coming off a nine board effort in Game 4 and I expect another over here.
Desmond Bane – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+150)
Bane started the postseaon a touch rough when it comes to shots from beyond the arc. He made just three total three-pointers in the first two games of the series. Since then, the Magic have allowed him to get back after it and it’s paying off. He’s made 12 from deep over the last two games – both of which were wins for the Magic. With the results they’ve seen, you have to imagine they’re going to be encouraging him to fire away.
Bronny James – Over 1.5 Points (-130)
Okay, maybe this isn’t the most glorious of NBA playoff props, but hear me out. They have the Rockets at the brink of elimination in a very low risk game for them. Kevin Durant is out and the probability of a blowout is much higher. Plus, Bronny has back-to-back games of at least five points scored. He may not get a basket until late in the 4th quarter, but he should be able to find something.
