And, for the second week in a row, we have a former UFC champion headlining. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Perth, I’ve got your winner for Saturday’s main event. Let’s go!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Perth
UFC Fight Night: Della Maddalena vs Prates (aka UFC Perth)
Main Card Start Time: 7:00 AM EST
This week’s former UFC champion just got usurped in his last fight – that would be former UFC Welterweight Champion, Jack Della Maddalena. Now the Aussie looks to bounce back on home soil against Brazilian knockout artist Carlos Prates this weekend.
And I think Della Maddalena will successfully bounce back. Saturday’s main event should be a stand-up battle, since neither man grapples much at all. And JDM is the better striker out of the two men – Prates actually gets outstruck on average in the UFC. While the Brazilian’s power is legendary, so is the Australian’s chin, so I think Della Maddalena can survive any onslaught and get back in the win column.
