Daily NBA Player Props – April 21st
Jayson Tatum – Over 39.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-107)
Over the last month, Tatum has averaged 11.1 rebounds per game, which is a great starting point for Tuesday. When we consider that Joel Embiid is out for this one as well, we might even expect a few more boards. To add to that number, he’s been over 23 points in eight straight games. If we use those two numbers as our floor, he’d only need six assists to clear this. He’s 6-1 to get at least that in his last seven. Knowing that that’s the floor, this should be an easy Game 2 cash.
VJ Edgecombe – Over 14.5 Points (-115)
While Edgecombe came up short of this number in the first game of the series, the numbers all point to an over in Game 2. Down the stretch, he closed with a 9-4 mark against this line. In addition, he went 3-1 over the season in games against the Celtics with a 20.0 average. He shot as bad as he has from beyond the arc all season on Sunday and if he just makes one additional shot, this should cash.
Victor Wembanyama – Over 29.5 Points (+100)
In Game 1 of the series, Wembanyama inserted himself right into the scoring equation. He scored more than the next two best Spurs combined with a game-high 35. Portland was a below average defensive team this season with 115.6 points allowed per game. That means there is a good chance that they overperformed in the opener. If they falter a touch more, this number should be easy for Wembanyama to get to.
