Utah Mammoth vs Calgary Flames
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
The Utah Mammoth and the Calgary Flames each only have a handful of games left to play – after that, one of them will be hitting the golf course, while the other will be hitting the postseason. And, for the first time in the franchise’s history, the playoff-bound team will be the Mammoth.
Ok, sure, this is only Utah’s second year in the league, so it’s not a long history, but it’s still an accomplishment to make it into the playoffs in their sophomore season. And while it’s still quite a long shot for the Mammoth to win the Stanley Cup this season, Utah making it through a couple of rounds in the postseason isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
But first, this game with the Flames tomorrow. Utah is the much better team at both ends of the rink and is also strong on the road (21-16-3). The Mammoth on the moneyline is my best bet for Sunday.
