The National Championship game is set! The UConn Huskies will take on the Michigan Wolverines on Monday night for the crown. All of the madness, all of the tournament games have led to this. Neither team won their conference tournament, but they both figured it out in March when it mattered the most. Let’s dive into UConn vs Michigan, the 2026 National Championship game player props. Tip-off for the National Championship game is set for 8:50 PM ET on TBS and HBO Max on Monday night.
Tarris Reed Jr Over 14.5 Points
The first player to highlight for Monday night’s title bout is UConn center Tarris Reed Jr. Reed began his basketball career at Michigan, and now plays at UConn. It’s a bit of a full-circle moment for the 6’11” player from St Louis, Missouri. Reed has been a key piece of the Huskies making it to the title game in 2026. He’s averaging 20.8 points per game through the NCAA Tournament, and has not reached this number in one contest, the Round of 32 game against the UCLA Bruins.
Reed only averaged 15 points per game during the season, but he’s stepped up big time this tournament, and if the Huskies want to win another title, he’ll have to continue his dominant run. On top of his performance throughout this tournament, add on top of it, he’s going against his old team, Reed is going to show up and ball out. “I’m going to come for their head. It’s going to be a fun game.” Reed said.
Morez Johnson Over 11.5 Points
I’m looking for Morez Johnson to step up big time in this game. While it sounds like Yaxel Lendeborg will be good to go, he likely won’t be 100% for this game. Johnson has stepped up and pulled his weight throughout this tournament, as Michigan has put up at least 90 points in each game. Johnson has averaged 13.0 points per game in the tournament, similar to the 13.1 points the former Illini player averaged throughout the year.
Johnson scored 10 against the Wildcats and just seven against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sweet 16. In the other games, Johnson went off against Howard, dropping 21, and 15 against St Louis in the Second Round. He dropped another 12 points against the Volunteers of Tennessee in the Elite Eight.
Alex Karaban Over 4.5 Rebounds
Tarris Reed’s running mate, forward Alex Karaban, will also have to play a huge part in this game, matching up against the Michigan bigs. Karaban has averaged 5.1 rebounds this season, and in the one game that was the “tough” game for the Huskies against Michigan State, Karaban pulled down seven boards.
The senior from Massachusetts already has two national titles to his name, and showed up on the glass in both championship games before. Against San Diego State in 2023, Alex snagged five rebounds. Then again, in 2024 against the Purdue Boilermakers, it was a six-rebound game on his way to a second National Championship. As Karaban looks to bookend his career with titles, expect him to show up on the boards.
Elliott Cadeau Over 6.5 Assists
This might be my favorite of all the player props in this 2026 National Championship game. Elliott Cadeau is a floor general who distributes the ball well and facilitates this powerful Wolverines offense. It’s shocking this number is so low. Cadeau has gone over it in every game during this tournament, and two of the Wolverines three games in the Big Ten Tournament.
The former UNC guard averaged 6.2 assists for the Tar Heels last season, and 5.9 assists per game through this season in Michigan. The Huskies will want to slow this game down. If that happens, you’ll see Cadeau running things and setting his teammates up for success.
