The UConn Huskies are a very unlikely Cinderella, having won two of the past three national championships, but they’ve been playing that role this March Madness. After needing heroics to take down the #1 Duke Blue Devils in the Elite Eight, then rolling past the Illinois Fighting Illini in the Final Four, the Huskies find themselves the dogs against the #1 Michigan Wolverines tomorrow night.
And I think the clock strikes midnight for this “Cinderella” on Monday night. Advanced stats rank the Wolverines as the top team in the nation (the Huskies are 11th), and they are far superior to the Huskies on both offense and defense.
But will they cover the spread is what us degens need to know? After crunching the numbers, my line is Michigan -9.5, so yes indeed, the Wolverines will cover the spread and win their first national championship since 1989.
