Carolina Hurricanes vs Columbus Blue Jackets
Start Time: 7:30 PM EST
We’ve got some Metropolitan Division action going down tomorrow in Columbus, as the fourth-place Blue Jackets host the cream of the division, the Carolina Hurricanes. While the Blue Jackets are one of the league’s top teams on home ice (20-9-8, eighth best in the NHL), the Hurricanes are hitting town at an opportune time.
That’s because Columbus has dropped three straight games and four of their last five, with their last two losses coming on their home ice at Nationwide Arena. And while the Hurricanes are stronger playing at home in Raleigh, they are a good team on any ice, with a 20-11-4 road mark.
A better offense, a better defense, strong on the road, winners for four of their last six – I like the Hurricanes in this spot. Carolina on the moneyline is my best bet for Tuesday.
