MLB basically has a soft opening tomorrow, with only one game on the schedule, but I’ve got the winning play for it. New York Yankees vs San Francisco Giants

We get an interleague game to kick off the 2026 season, as the American League East’s New York Yankees visit the National League West’s San Francisco Giants. The Giants have hovered around the .500 mark for the past four seasons, missing the playoffs in each one. And they’re projected for right around that win total once again this season.
As for the Yankees, well, they are projected to be the Yankees. With their wins over/under set at 90.5, they are expected to be the best team in the American League as they look to win their first World Series since 2009.
Lefty Max Fried takes the bump for the visitors tomorrow, with righty Logan Webb getting the ball for the home side. Fried had an All-Star first season in the Bronx, while Webb was the same in the NL and was a workhorse for the Giants.
I’m going with the Bronx Bombers to start the season with a W tomorrow.
