The UFC’s octagon is on the move again this week, setting down in the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, for its annual visit to the city. A former long-time UFC champion headlines against an up-and-comer making only his second appearance in a UFC main event. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Seattle, I’ve got a live dog from the prelims. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

UFC Fight Night: Adesanya vs Pyfer (aka UFC Seattle)

Casey ‘King’ O’Neill was once one of the most promising prospects in the UFC’s women’s flyweight division. Back-to-back losses took some of the steam off of her, then after a bounce-back win, she’s been on the shelf with injuries for almost two years. She makes her comeback this Saturday against Gabriella Fernandes.
And I’m taking a flyer on O’Neill, despite the long layoff. The Australian has all the advantages in this matchup over his Brazilian opponent: she’s younger and bigger, a better striker and grappler, and she’s faced a higher level of competition in the UFC.
